  1. Congrats, Tomcat! You only needed a few hours of work this time ! All right, I understand.
  2. @whakamaru: Another thing - the updates listed in that dialog you captured as updates*.JPG are the ones that were just released. Yes, please use Tomcat's updated list. By the way, if those were the only updates that Windows Update requested, then you are all set. However, I did notice that you have some hotfixes that are obsolete/unnecessary (again, refer to TC's list). If you plan to slipstream those new hotfixes, make sure you use the latest test release from this thread. Many, if not all, of those are not properly supported by the latest final release. One final note: Move your dotnet2.exe file (I'm assuming this is RyanVM's installer, am I right?) to HF. .NET 2.0 normally cannot be installed from SVCPACK, the folder where HFSLIP places those files you put in HFSVCPACK. A special registry hack is needed, and HFSLIP will make Windows perform this change if you place the installer in HF. Be sure to use the latest test release for this functionality. Hope everything helps.
  3. I'm thinking a few months from now someone will encounter this issue when they run HFSLIP with InstallRC=1 in his or her HFANSWER.INI file and no WINNTUPG folder. Then, they will come yelling for help. Thanks!

    Oh man

Well, good luck on all the testing. If you want, I'll be an internal tester for you .

    Oh man

I do not find KB893066 on any of your update pages.

    Oh man

Yup, it's that day again. I completely forgot! Thanks for the updates, Tomcat! You're always on the job! By the way, I warned everyone about this!
  7. All right. So I guess Tomcat can put a line inside HFSLIP that looks for the presence of WINNTUPG before inserting the line in HFSLIP.CMD, as such:
  8. Actually, I wanted you to try it with your original source.
  9. glentium: Browse using command prompt to the root of your source (one without WINNTUPG) and run the following command. START/WAIT I386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons /unattend Does the error come up there?
  10. Uh, this is not a Windows Vista forum, but yes, you can expect it to be shipped along with the DVD. Any other questions should be directed here: Windows Vista on MSFN Forums
  11. Direct link to ISO for those lazy people (English 32-bit) No, I'm not giving you a product key. Request that from MS. 1590 KBps or 1590 Kbps? And what's your connection speed?
  12. I bet including LegitCheckControl.cab is probably the reason why it gave me the error. Sorry, but I haven't had time to test yet. Will report back as soon as I do however.
  13. Thanks for implementing the MakeNoISO idea. I know this kind of takes away from the whole point, but I'd like HFSLIP to ignore the MakeNoISO setting if AHTEST is specifically set to MAKEISO. More specifically:
  14. I'm not sure what you mean here. Actually, I'm not even sure if you get my point yet. There is nothing new in this release that is supported by HFSLIP. There is a XACT update, but HFSLIP doesn't support that. You can throw it in HFCABS, but nothing will be done with it. I posted the update here before I realized that nothing new was supported. That's why I added in "false alarm."
  15. Beware: Script is getting bigger! The size of the CMD file went down between the 60422/60425 release and the 60528 release. HFSLIP_60528.CMD - 143,062 bytes (139 KB) HFSLIP_60609a.CMD - 145,696 bytes (142 KB) Just a head's up .
  16. Quote from the main post and my post this morning: Also, quote from the other topic:
  17. Quick note, Tomcat - on your special features page, you have the wrong starting date for the DRIVERCAB feature (last item).
  18. Uh, there's nothing TO PUT in HFCABS.
  19. Kiki: Nothing to take care of for the June DX9c update. There is no new d3dx9 CAB file in this one. Plus, every new d3dx9 file is automatically supported.
  20. So I was right about my problem! It does happen! Will try your solution, Tomcat.
  21. I'm still seeing what I can do about this problem. I'm testing a new HFSLIP (60608a) with the new version of KB905474 (1.5.0532.2) and without my WINNT.SIF file. Will report back. Hopefully I can fix this.
  22. New update (June 8, 2006). See main post. Edit: Whoops, false alarm! There is no new d3dx9 CAB file this time. Only a(n) XACT update.
  23. 13 patches next week! See main post.
  24. Aserone's addon pack (Foxy_dotNET_2.0_SVCPACK_Addon.cab) and installer would have worked before the HFSLIP code addition because it already contained the registry hack needed to install .NET 2.0 via SVCPACK.INF. Just a(n) FYI.
  25. No, you must still use RyanVM's (or another's) silent switchless installer. Read the footnote .
