  1. Still waiting for some help here!
  2. What happened to reading instructions? Please attach your HFSLIP.LOG file. The most common mistake resulting in the redownloading of hotfixes is renaming the hotfixes from their original name. In this case, the hotfixes aren't slipstreamed at all.
  3. Add-on packs belong in HFAAO (create the folder yourself). Beware that it is up to the add-on maker to make sure the pack works. Place Microsoft's EXTRACT.EXE (NOT EXPAND.EXE!!) in HFTOOLS. I don't know if you need the INF file. More info about HFAAO here: HFAAO - Application Addon packs
  4. Tomcat and everyone: It seems Microsoft is ending support for XP SP1 and SP1a earlier than we thought. Instead of November 14, 2006, support will end on October 10, 2006. I'm not sure of the exact source, but I first read it here. They provide a link to this page at Microsoft.
  5. Now publicly avaiable .
  6. Oh, I see. Sorry about the misunderstanding.
  7. 1. Sorry, but I can't help you there. I don't have much experience with filecopy errors and INF files. I hope someone else does. 2. This issue has already been fixed in the latest final release. You can type it in any case or combination of cases you want. I do warn you against asking to remove it completely though. TommyP introduced it a year ago for people who don't read the instructions. Hint:
  8. I am a bit surprised that it would work via HFSVCPACK because that folder is for silent switchless installers. DECCHECKSetup.exe is not such a file AFAIK.
  9. Can you try a CD install of your SOURCESS folder (burn the installation and test on an actual hard drive)?
  10. Tomcat - did you test it with an HFSLIP'd installation?
  11. Oh, I see now. That makes sense .
  12. I slipstreamed KB905474 into my Windows XP SP2 English along with other hotfixes and installed it. When I log on, Windows tells me that my computer is not genuine. However, this cannot be true. I have used my (volume) product key many times before and it has never failed. I even ran the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool (http://www.snipurl.com/MGADiag) on the computer and it gave me the following info. I'm guessing that this would be better suited for another forum, but I am pretty sure that if I install KB905474 manually later, Windows would not give me the "not genuine" message. Note: I also slipstreamed KB892130 (regular WGA). Edit: I used a WINNT.SIF file in my installation. However, this file has been fully tested and works perfectly. In addition, the above-mentioned error only seems to occur during the first logon. I restarted the computer and the message did not reappear. [info removed]
  13. Forwarder: FDV's documentation is not yet updated for the log file. The name of the log file was changed to HFSLIP.LOG so please post that. Also, make an ISO of your SOURCE folder and make sure that installs properly.
  14. What do you mean here?
  15. .NET 1.1 is already supported. You just need RyanVM's installer. Download it and place it in HFSVCPACK. It already has SP1 and the KB886903 hotfix slipstreamed.
  16. Are you adding them to your list?
  17. I assume you're not going to add these to your list then. Right? In any case, would you recommend including these?
  18. Whoops, sorry Tomcat!
  19. Here's a link to a slightly modified copy of Aserone's installer. The only changes I made were of the package name and version info (using ResHacker). The internal structure remains the same. http://rapidshare.de/files/22141003/dotnet20.exe.html To answer your question, mystek, put the installer in HFSVCPACK.
  20. Tomcat only implemented a fix that is to work on Win2K. Technically, it wasn't supposed to be supported by XP and 2003 because of Aserone's installer. Whoops! mystek: I tried about an hour ago and the link was fine. Now I also can't connect to it. Will try to post another (direct) link to his.
  21. I've updated my checksum post above to include new updates. *Edit: Re-updated list for KB905474. *Edit #2: Re-updated on June 4 to remove some extra hotfixes I accidentally added.
  22. the_guy: Are these all on WU/MU (i.e. critical or recommended)? When I checked, they weren't there.
  23. Tomcat: Are you referring to Aserone's installer or RyanVM's installer?
  24. You could also try Aserone's working installer which incorporates this fix.
  25. I do not believe WGA Notifications applies to Chinese Traditional computers. However, if you would like to find the direct download link, you need to install WGA Notifications on a running Windows XP SP2 Chinese Traditional computer using Windows Update. Then, take a look at the WindowsUpdate.log file in your %systemroot% folder, and search for the string 'KB905474'. You should find the link within the latest entries. Hope this helps . By the way, that link the_guy provided is now out-of-date. The latest WGA Notifications (1.5.0532.0) for Windows XP SP2 English is here.
