  1. Please attach your zipped HFSLIP.LOG file as indicated in the error reporting directions!
  2. Yes, it needs to be cabbed.
  3. ebernard did not actually request a page of MD5 sums, but nevertheless, thanks for linking to it, Kiki!
  4. Technically, I think it would be more accurate and grammatically correct to say:
  5. @Tomcat, two things regarding the above problem. (1) Slipstreaming a CHT system shows up as "XP SP1 Traditional" instead of "XP SP1 Chinese Traditional". Is this intentional? (2) ctpooon (above) seems to have slipstreamed SP2 using HFSLIP (WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-CHT.exe). However, HFSLIP does not appear to have recognized this. Could this have to do with the ntfs.sys error or is that a whole other problem? @ctpooon, you are not paying attention to directions very well! You are slipstreaming XP SP1. If you use Tomcat's list, you MUST check the "Service Pack 1a" box. If you read the_guy's post above, as well as the directions on Tomcat's page, KB900325 is for XP Media Center Edition. You do not need it for your OS! If you want to include the Windows Media Player 9/10 codecs, you need to extract wmfdist95.exe out of the KB900325 hotfix. Do not worry about this. This is only if you successfully installed the HFSLIPed system.Generally, I would not recommend including updates for two different languages. Sometimes, this messes up the OS. Now, please don't come back here until you sort out your hotfixes (as above). HFSLIP is not for people who don't read simple directions.
  6. I guess I should have made my point a little clearer . I was trying to say that 'privileges' should not be spelled with a 'd'. Oh, did anyone notice that for some reason you don't need to be logged in anymore to view this forum?
  7. @Tomcat, another quick note: In the preface on your basic howto page, privileges is spelled with an extra 'd'.
  8. All right, I figured out what the problem is with KB904706. It seems MS released a silent update to the package or something. I downloaded my copy in October 2005. First post updated .
  9. What is the difference between Security Update for Windows XP (KB904706) and Security Update for DirectX 9 for Windows XP (KB904706), and which one really applies?
  10. xper: If I did not receive any such spam email, do you still recommend that I change my address and password?
  11. Is it just an HFSLIP problem?
  12. Thanks, we already took care of that .
  13. The link you provided is up-to-date for the latest final release so the instructions there are valid .
  14. All right, all right, you don't have to explain to us your procedure . Yes, there is a tool called MSBA. Also, HFNetChk was not created by Microsoft. If you look, you'll find that out pretty quickly.
  15. Do you think I should still leave the checksum for it in there? Should I make a note about the version number?
  16. All right, thanks for letting me know, everyone. I will check and update my list as soon as I have a chance. @Yzöwl, I have a newer version of WMP10 in my folder so that's probably why it's different. I believe the most recent is 10.00.00.3802.
  17. Tomcat76 has a list that is hosted on his own server. You might want to ask him about it. The links are in his signature.
  18. How about using C7 (grey on red) or FC (red on white)?
  19. Actually, now I'm thinking it was just my computer screen. On this computer, 48 looks good. However, I would prefer 47, or maybe one of these: 17, 27, 57
  20. Tomcat: I know HFSLIP_60716exp2 is an experimental test release, but color 48 is very hard to read.
  21. @Tomcat, quick note on your Downloads page. The word "extras" should not have an apostrophe.
  22. Sorry, guess I should have looked further into it!
