Once again you interpret things the way you like them to be. Do you know better than myself what i thought and meant when writing that sentence? And, btw. i see your usage of "dude" as rude, regardless of what may have "been confirmed here". So, you insulted me twice already just with this. I'd like to end it here, but i sense a response coming already, pffft

It is "anime" as much as "The Simpsons" is. As Wikipedia says "Inside Job is an American adult animated science fiction comedy streaming television series". It's from your ally Langley That said, i could also recommend you one anime series about bodybuilding, if you change your mind later btw. i just watched "Poisson d'avril" yesterday. De Funes is such a villain, lol. Reminded me of his "Le Gendarme..." movies. Well, remote proxies is the first thing that comes to your mind. I don't mean to offend you, but from the very beginning you mistook this for the thing suited to your needs (which it is not). Most of the regulars of the XP forums either use or at least have heard about ProxHTTPSProxy, and by extension likewise about Proxomitron as it's required for ProxHTTPSProxy. Instagram has a specific policy against that. Even if you think your case is "quite similar to ordinary browsing", the server can clearly detect it and block you. Your whole approach to this problem (Instagram blocking) seems wrong to me. You insist on using proxy lists and automated scraping, and just quickly burn any working proxies you find. This is an annoyance not only to you, but also to everyone else who may have wanted to use these same proxies for normal Instagram browsing. Why don't you open a discussion for this problem exactly (the blocking, not proxies) so you can get specific help on it? And if you don't really care about Instagram, but only about buying sports food, make it about this instead. I am sure you could get much better help this way. HTH

@NotHereToPlayGames Just a reminder - you still have a bunch of reserved posts and a guide waiting to be finished. Maybe get this done first and then play with the CSS for that injected menu? Feel free to prettify and reuse whatever i wrote earlier if it helps. @D.Draker There should be a RU filter list you can enable in uBlock settings. So, you're missing out on a ton of handy stuff because of fear and fricken politics, huh?! I wonder what next you'll bring in this discussion about configuring proxies. Lizard people? Nessie? P.S. check the "Inside job" animated series, it's pretty funny.

My Browser Builds (Part 3)
RainyShadow replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
If it works in NM27, then it will work in NM28 too. The reverse is not true though. -
My Browser Builds (Part 3)
RainyShadow replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Hopefully you'll aim for NM27 (or maybe even Retrozilla, lol) The demo page works in Serpent 52, Mypal and Edge, but not in New Moon 27 or Chrome 34. -
Hmm, i just tested the "j" version. HTTPS connections go nowhere, there is nothing in both Proxomitron and ProxHTTPSProxyMII logs. It should have worked since "technically" the remote proxy part should not be used - it actually makes ProxHTTPSProxyMII complain about misconfigured port. WTF! When i added 127.0.0.1:8081 ProxHTTPSProxyMII as a remote proxy (NOT enabled), it started working (still fails the test though). WTF x2 I you want easier time and don't care about filtering through proxies, just leave the HTTP proxy field in the browser settings empty.

Browser setting for Chrome, 360, etc. : Control Panel > Internet Options In the Connections tab click on LAN settings. Check "use a proxy...", click Advanced, uncheck "use same settings..." Fill this in the HTTP row: 127.0.0.1 , port 8080 This for the Secure row: 127.0.0.1 , 8079 For Firefox-based browsers use the built-in browser settings. HTTP proxy - 127.0.0.1:8080 SSL proxy - 127.0.0.1:8079 [edit] forgot something very important, lol Right-click the CA.crt file in the ProxHTTPSProxyMII folder and select Install Certificate, click Next until it's done. For FF and the likes, open browser Preferences > Advanced > Certificates. Click View Certificates, then Import and select the CA.crt file.

Now for the guide... Remember this link? https://prxbx.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2172 Grab one of the downloads at the end of the first post (i used the "advanced" one this time). Extract somewhere ( Program Files folder is fine), shorten the name to ProxHTTPSProxyMII Next go here (also linked in the above page) https://prxbx.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2172&pid=17955#pid17955 Get the Launcher, extract in the ProxHTTPSProxyMII folder. You can add a shortcut to it in StartUp or wherever. Get Proxomitron from here (also linked in the above) I used the ProxN45m.zip file. Extract, rename folder to Proxomitron if you wish, add a shortcut to Proxomitron.exe in StartUp. Now, start both ProxHTTPSProxyMII (through the launcher) and Proxomitron. The default config for ProxHTTPSProxyMII should be fine enough. Proxomitron will need some tinkering. First uncheck all checkboxes on the main page. Click Proxy, put this in the field there, click OK. Don't bother testing (see here). 127.0.0.1:8081 ProxHTTPSProxyMII Then click Config, go to the Startup tab and put this in the bottom field ("bypass all URLs blabla"): $OHDR(Tagged:ProxHTTPSProxyMII FrontProxy/*)$SETPROXY(127.0.0.1:8081)(^) | $LST(Bypass) Save and you should be done.

OK, first a fun fact - in that picture i posted before, Proxo was testing the connection to CCProxy So, the HTTP chain. Using the ProxHTTPSProxyMII port fails the test same way as yours. Fortunately, normal operation is fine, it's just the test that fails. I wonder where that port 7734 in the error comes from, couldn't find it anywhere... Another fun fact: At least the build of Serpent that comes with XP Integral Edition was able to handle this and the rest of the downloads...

============================================================================ ProxHTTPSProxyMII v1.5 (urllib3/1.22) FrontServer : localhost:8079 RearServer : localhost:8083 ParentServer : http://192.168.1.11:8081 Proxomitron : http://localhost:8080 ============================================================================ For some reason ParentServer won't work when i set it to localhost. Pretty annoying when i have to use WiFi or something else than my fixed wired connection to my home router. The one at 8080 is actually BFilter, it then forwards to Proxo at 8082. CCProxy is at 8081. Browser settings are HTTP:8080, SSL:8079, and i use the "Proxy selector" extension to quickly toggle the settings in case of issues.

You can add your rules in Advanced configuration > urls.local Some examples: -1 *waitbutwhy.com/* -5 *video.google.com/* ^ less dynamic blocking in matched url +5 http://www.addic7ed.com/* +6 http://zbar.zynga.com/* ^ more dynamic blocking AD *gdpr*/*.js FORBID *.popads.net* FORBID http://playinfo.gomlab.com/* FORBID https://applog.gomtv.com* FORBID http://info.gomlab.com/eng_ad.html ^ last three prevent ads in the status field of Gom player and update checks ALLOW turbo*.opera-mini.net* NOFILTER */recaptcha/releases/*.js ^ don't block # - comment [Blocklists] List.Bypass = "..\Lists\Bypass List.txt" List.AdList = "..\Lists\URL Killfile.txt" List.NoImages = "..\Lists\Kill Images.txt" List.CookieList = "..\Lists\AllowCookies.txt" List.AdKeys = "..\Lists\Keyword list.txt" List.AliasList = "..\Lists\URL Alias List.txt" List.MIME-List = "..\Lists\MIME Fix List.txt"

While it may be the swiss-army knife among similar tools, i quickly got overwhelmed by its capabilities and am currently using it only for the header-dependent redirect to ProxHTTPSProxyMII. My current chains are like this: HTTPS - browser > ProxHTTPSProxyMII Front > BFilter (for easy blocking) > Proxomitron > ProxHTTPSProxyMII Rear > CCProxy (for caching) > internet HTTP - browser > BFilter > Proxomitron > CCProxy > internet I just wish ProxHTTPSProxyMII was able to receive both protocols in the same port without crapping-out...
