So how do I kill IE sooner, not that it's that important, because it works with\batch, runonceEx and runonceEx from CD. It's just that it would be cleaner. Relocate taskkill up just above sleep? bonedaddy

Well Mazin if you don't find what causes IE to open don't worry I just pointed taskkill at it and poof gone. here it is. EDIT see following page but don't get to see player come up and LLama intro play anymore. thanks bonedaddy

Ok it worked from the runonceex CD. sort of, installed and works fine, but it accessed winamp web site in the middle of install. I wonder if taskill works ok from CD? Any way here's what I did...... thanks again bonedaddy edit see following page

Hey Mazin I swear I love watching that program install, clicking down ticking off items and changing pages, what a gas. thanks again for it. My question is do you think the runOnce method will work from CD? I'm going to try and I'll let you know. By the way as far as registering I had already exported mine from the REG, so did that way, can't confirm if it works with just serial number. WOW this is great! After a few pm's with mazin he figured out why it wouldn't work, (hint; don't install after an AntiVirus program) and I taught myself how to set it up with keystrokes it installs perfect. hint; get the latest Winamp and while installing do the keystroke thing, if you make a mistake, just install again, follow mazin's js till you get the hang of it. The text here is for noobs to js like myself. bonedaddy

Here you go try this works every time for me and the Gentleman who posted it "Cydine" I edited monitor.inf in I386 and commented out the line: %*PNP09FF.DeviceDesc%=VESADDC.Install,*PNP09FF then added my monitor driver via OemPnPDriversPath. This way drivers are installed whether signed or not. Cydine good luck bonedaddy

@ all got it to work finally REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\software\sleep\sleep 30" /f well worked for me and got to see all of RunOnceEX. Bonedaddy

Hi all I have used sleep.exe from GuiRunOnce, with sleep.exe in $$\sys32. But if using from cd via RunOnceEx what is the proper syntax and does sleep remain in sys32? my search resulted in this REG ADD %KEY%\000 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\folder\sleep.exe /30" /f thanks Bonedaddy

changes color of installs in batch file there's a bunch of colors to choose from search, I got them from here, or a few 0=balck (use it for backround) 1=blue 2=green 3=aqua 4=red 5=purple 6=yellow 7=white 8=gray 9=light blue a=light green b=light aqua c=light red d=light purple e=light yellow f=bright white well thats all of them, first numeral is back round second is the letter color color 09 is black w\light blue lettering

@ all I installed from my last batch file like this, ECHO. color 0f ECHO Installing DirectX 90 Security Update start /wait %systemdrive%\install\hotfixes\directx90-kb839643-x86-enu.exe /quiet /norestart checked dllcache and sys32 and dplayx.dll and dpwsockx.dll are v5.3.0.903 if that means it worked well good? bonedaddy

@ mickmack ok I have the same problem as Crusher, how about laying out everything you are doing in black and white? for starters what vc are you using? do I need both English and Russian lang support, I just have Eng are gart and driver installed seperate? what ? yours works, help us. thanks bonedaddy

thanks I really like what you did, one of the big problems here is every thing is getting so spread out, search is good but some times you look thru so many pages. there was a post by some guys who wanted to put together a big reg tweak post and keep it up dated but again negative folks came out. oh well, thanks again and check for a Pm bonedaddy

@ bs I gave up to get gigabyte ga-8ihxp built in sound to work, is it to work with mb sound? uses creative ess about 2yrs old, 850e chipset. driver is 5880 even tried downloaded from gig site, no luck. I made sure to get in the right FOLDER . and oempnp... in winsif. any ideas? bonedaddy

yes thats it, I checked and you must have a aiw card or need wdm. I can't get it to install silently even from GuiRunOnce and a batch. I install last because it throws a reboot screen. good luck bonedaddy from Gui all install though, smartgart, cp all.

you need to extract to a file and use setup.exe -R
