fixed xuser=name changed to xname= changing xquicklaunch to xtaskbar and testing EDIT ok then won't waste my time and instead will try new msi, hopefully all user errors are gone

ok I've got it working for me, I used a batch reg hack for user\key and used %userprofile% for quicklaunch and "xskinsetting=winamp modern" works perfect thanks EDIT fixed xuser=name changed to xname=

@ Alanoll thanks, my install is nLited so may have something to do with all this, as is SolidasRock's and for that matter so is drthawhizkid's, I'm going to work on and let you know. I tried the .ini method again and no ql or name, just as code is above, cmd is also the same. EDIT maybe I'm causing the QL problem by using this in my batch, I know I'm fixing using this code, going to drop an icon in with this. the arrowed items not working, either cmdline or ini. this is with the original ver downloaded, will try the latest now.I'm sure it's working because I checked the Reg and xkey is there. not sure what skinsetting is?

well I got it figured out at least. It seems nLite was not keeping the audio driver inf's or any inf's for that matter, and when Winamp installed it saw no sound card and it didn't like that. I put the inf's manually and install went perfect, check out the js file. the down 9 was for sonic, I can keep it now that I know the problem. Bonedaddy

I went back to that other method of installing winamp in sp1 and there is no win file protection error. Do you think its the js causing this error? maybe because it see's no audio driver? just guessing....

@ Mazin works very nice except for sp1 by nLite not installing audio drivers (new bug this ver) and also windows file protection bug same nLite ver, nuhi will fix. Works purrrfect with nLite sp2 though. good job and thanks bonedaddy

that's what I figured, they just added the feature. No big deal, I just used your .js and ajusted for mine, as did SolidasRock. It's installing now, the other way was throwing a windows file protection screen in an nLited install useing nLite 98.3, (sp1 not sp2). Ok now it works with runonceEx, batch file, and RunOnceEx from cd. use this for runonceex from cd just moved taskkill IE to a location above .js file works fine. thanks again mazin bonedaddy
