  1. @nuhi wow great tool! works well, just finished jdboeck's method for sp1 and was wondering about sp2, taken care of........ I am going to request for more control of what drivers go or stay (need to keep some display drivers) some day when you have time perhaps? thanks and a hand clap for you bonedaddy
  2. first off thanks to "edomais" his simple, but effective post fixed my problem!!!! I have promise 20276 raid\ata controller I can get raid to install without f6 via RyanVM method but not the ata, why do I care, bootup time reg ide, 109sec, ata 34sec and cable switching... RyanVM has sent me many drivers to try we finally gave up and I settled for the raid working. Saw edomais's post and tried it and WOW it works, and so simple; In winnt.sit OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\006_IDE;" Then $Oem$\$1\Drivers\006_IDE\TXTSETUP.OEM,your.sys,your.inf,your.cat no f6, just let her go..... any way as everone says here,"It worked for me" and thank you "edomais" try it and post back here if you want bonedaddy EDIT I forgot to mention I still use RyanVM's method I just add to his and over write the sys inf and cat files
  3. @Dave here it is short and sweet 1 I make an iss file on a fresh install using the -R 2 I install from GuiRunOnce and a batch file 3 it's the last thing to install, the very last 4 it leaves a "setup complete do you want to reboot" 5 it's the ATI AIW drivers about 27mb 6 everything installs, cp wdm smartgart hope it works for you, if you find better please let me know, I hate that "setup complete" crap works for me bonedaddy
  4. @ Aaron or ??? wanted to use the Jdeboeck reducing method so downloaded rollup 1 from here and sp1 I've had a while. Had to start from scratch to use his method but needed room.... followed all rules, but cheated a bit and moved svc and update over to the new creation after useing jdeboeck reducing way. had all ready extracted winxp from disc, and put it all together. during install, at 34min the screen goes black 3 or 4 times (I guess setting res as per winnt.sif) didn't do it this time then the last install is ATI with driver and cp and wmd, it installs as usual, then windows pops up and it says no ati driver(never did that before), and the res is at 800x600 not the 1280x764 or what ever. Reboot and the ati drivers are there just fine res has to be set manual. Try for days and can't fix, finally download rollup 1 from MS and all is fine???????? I don't know??? THANKS bonedaddy
