well Justin Frankel might just be right. if u look at what winamp currently supports its more than enough for audio and video. I mean it supports everything right now. what more can they put on it right? they seem to have fixed lots of bugs too. and maybe they didn't earn enough money with the pro version. therefore they might be stopping futher development.. but many ppl still make skins & plugins. so if something is not enough u can obtain it from the plugins right.. edit: the 1st attachment seems fine on mine the second attachment is slightly smaller in resolution for me.. get to work alanoll

hi there I've dled both the server and the client files. i've read the readme's and I cannot make anything out of them. I want to play this on LAN. can someone guide me through the setup of the server and client or whatever's needed to play this game multiplayer tHaNkS!
-
true that's why i'm going to pay $200 for cheap but okay graphics cards and run at average resolution
-
well okay it might be right but still I don't want an os taking up that much of any hardware. bc then we'd need 5x all those hardware to play games! I'd say lh should run at xp's requirements

my country is bet.. well I'm definitely going to get doom and hl. but so far I like the far cry engine. runs smooth on my laptop 64mb gf4 go. hopefully I've a desktop too, going to upgrade the graphics card of course I'm sure the graphics and sounds are going to be amazing on both, but 1 thing I'm not really sure of is the storyline, I want it to be a good one not very childish I haven't read much about doom3 but is it going to be mp? if not hl2 already has advantage over doom3, but I doubt, these days id would be so stupid not to have a mp support. ow 1 thing, ppl under 15 shouldn't be allowed to buy these games

hmm I do agree with darkphoenix on it and his link to modified html file seems nicer. other than that the page design the colors, icons they're all pretty nice! the page loads pretty fast on 56k so I like it

no need for apalogies man, so okay i kind of understand what the splitter does but does that have to do anything with using filters for other stuff in the house like a fax or a phone? or am I totally acting wierd right now i'll choose the pc--> router --> internet i like the usr modems, been using them, I might just consider that. netgear, yea I actually heard lots of good comments on it. I, hmm can consider that as well .. (I first should consider if it all matters or should I just buy a darn $50 modem?) u're right on gaming site having info's but most just say enable pnp forwarding on port ..... and i can do that for 1 comp but the other computers don't get any access to games I'll have to deal with that in some way. cisco quality is not even comparable with others, esp in big networks. but i think its a little more expensive than the others. okay now i should have asked this earlier, do u know of a page that has a side to side compariable list?

well I didn't mention the isp bc I had assumed none of the ppl would have knowledge on Turkish isp's splitters: I didn't get what u mean by it? firewall: well I know but my problem is the hardware firewalls are a little trickier than the zonealarm, in order for all 4 computers to play a game over the internet i'd have to have a special configuration right? I don't know what that configuration is and dunno how it works. switches: i'm currently using a hub in the house (purchased it before I had known about routers and switches ) it does the job now but if the adsl modem has a router i'd like that wireless. though I've wireless on my laptop none of the households need wireless access. I'm trying to convince my father to get a laptop for himself so he can do his work anywhere in the house, (would be usefull for me not to him..) thanks for the links I'm looking at them right now. before the "how to use certain stuff" I need to buy 1 modem i'm more interested in which brand is good, which one won't die or cause problems etc.

Hi there, I'm finally getting dsl, (just got time..) anyways I've been browsing the www and I'm pretty confused to what I want and what I don't want all modems have different stuff like splitter multiprotocol router firewall switch ip forwarder 10 channel vpn supported firewall bandwidth management wireless support keyword blocking hardware accelerator etc etc. now i'm confused. I've 4 computers to connect to dsl, 2 of them connects to msn,icq etc I play games so I need this upnp forwarding thing if I get the firewalled one right? (I had dsl before used dsl modem + linksys sr41 and had lots of problems forwarding ip's especially for games and share programs) now I play games and connect to sharing programs and there is another user with another computer who also connects to sharing programs and msn. i don't have much knowledge in this port forwarding but I had only managed to forward 1 port to 1 computer therefore let say I'd have high id on edonkey whereas the other computer had lowid. and that creates a problem. so these in mind and I don't care about wireless at the time. which brand of dsl modem should I get? I don't want firewall if I'm going to experience problems setting the ports.. Thanks (if any other info is needed I can provide. )

3) there are minimize to tray programs, u can google for them. I think it was minimizer xp or something?

for your info 7.2 is released...

seems pretty nice I currently use http://www.hostacres.com its 3.95 monthly, + I got static ip and etc.. first thing m6 provides better than hostacres is 20gb bandwidth. mine gives 10, and i'm paying extra for the exceeded bandwidth and it sucks. their 1 level above package is not as good as this one only 800mb for the best value where as m6 provides 2/4/8gb disk space,!! awesome.. I might switch, first have to wait for end of subscription

What the heck is going on here?
XtremeMaC replied to DarkPhoenix's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
put 2 more " around the "" the first "u have is for the reg entry and second u're going to put is for the command prompt to get the whole line.. -
hmm my only guess would be u have a pretty bad lcd. i've dell lcd and i don't have a slight problem like that. also if u believe u see those ghost things, if u have nvidia graphics card, enable the desktop manager... and pixel response time? hmm can it be refresh rate? if so lcd's have higher values as well.. depends on screen resolution as well...
-
its winnt.sif.... [unattended] ProgramFilesDir="d:\Program Files\" CommonProgramFilesDir="d:\Program Files\Common\"
-
????? well crt is not good nor bad. its simple bigger than lcd. 1 thing I know is the brightness difference in which u can change.. so there is not much difference except the prices in my opinion...
-
well easiest u can do is to disable theme support from services.msc or u can go to display properties and choose windows classic.
-
how many of u read the titles on the forums?
-
well as much as u say it is not graphics card related it kind of is erm its not up to me but for a comp like that why not get a better graphics card? also u can try defragging.. maybe a better mouse pad? wait is it cordless? if so its pretty normal...
-
it might be over heating? also a friend of mine was experiencing problem like this few months later his ram died. I experience a similar thing. but that happens when I resume from standby, I think this happened after sp2 but i cannot say for sure. wait did u say it shuts off? that's f'ed up a little. is your graphics card ati? and what brand is the laptop? :offtopic: my computer works like "a telnet screen on a slow connection"(which I open the lid of my laptop. mouse moves nicely but if I click somewhere it takes 1-2min to process, also goes for startmenu..etc..) after resuming from stand by..
-
sorry but what does that mean? and what does it have to do with SkyyPunk, a batchfile and an inf? anyways, I, too don't see how this is helpful to ppl everyone right from the start, right from the release of winamp could write a vbs and choose the components like that. that's how I had been installing after 1 day I don't wanted it... I think u should ..... and do something more usefull with other software..
-
uppercase S otherwise u're doing something wrong. many ppl have tested /S for nullsoft installers and this method of installing winamp... try the msi if u want..
-
www.pricegrabber.com also u can downgrade some of the components p4 3.2 itself is litte bit more expensive than 2.8... what kind of monitor? 17" 19" 21"? lcd?

rc = release candidate, u can refer it as pre release of rtm which is the latest release thats not in alpha or beta stage and is released to public. by "older build" they mean that pre releases of sp2. rc1 was sp2 build 2082 as u mentioned and rc2 was 2149. they're just versions of programs, like every software has, even xplode nlite has versions
