AGP 4X ?? What the heck? Thats ridiculous, I set mine manual for faster times. I found that my kt6v-lsr was the most stable and tough enough not to freeze when bogged down, but I sold it when I got my asus. It works but I dont see no drastic improvements. On XP the nforce chipset sucked real bad when moving files, on 98se its ok. I'm not sure what happened but socket a got ditched and people were left hanging if you ask me.

disconnect or remove the floppydrive and disable it in the bios, no more problems.

I guess thats my problem, no driver cd, no ver1 driver installed. I got my card given to me from a friend without the original cd. I can get drivers for all my other soundcards no problem

Creative really sucks for driver support, I got a sb 0100 and I can't get the drivers to work, and the boot info when I start my computer says "unknown" in the IRQ list.

Depending on what os you have, there is one built in. I like putting partition magic on a bootable disk. You can get the free trial and copy the files you need to the disk.

My computer runs fine with vista, not as fast as 98SE though. I think better than XPsp2, especially the ram timings, XP hates cas 2

I dont think you can upgrade. I booted from the disk and it has a upgrade option but I used a fresh partition and did a new install.

You must restart the computer for the changes to the DisabledComponents registry value to take effect. --

I tested all these games play, except NFSMW2 it wants D3DX9_26.dll was not found, not sure if I need a "update" to this in Direct X but I know the last redistibutable DX aug 2006 has it but I got DX 10 so I think I'll wait and see. I have some issues with SNES9X is very slow. I definatly need more Video muscle. Sound is working good with the creative EMU10K1 xp driver from creative, LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG) . dont use m$'s update ot there will me trouble on the SB0100 card.
