Ya I just did

The 1650 is a lemon! I get huge lags and freeze's. I think its the 4 pipes is bottlenecking. The 9600se I have has none of that........wtf ati?

I have limited choices. I can only find cards at futureshop here and they have a 9800pro 128mb and the 1650pro 512mb and I think a X700pro 256mb in AGP form. Also 1600pro, 1300pro and 2006 all in wonder 256mb and 9250 256mb

Wow I just took a close look at the 1650pro and it looks like crap! cold solder everywhere and the GPU has chips and scratches!! Taking it back........

I just bought a 1650pro 512mb and I really dont see the big deal. I read that it has only 4 pipelines? I see the 9800pro has 8 pipelines and 256bit memory bus vs the 1650's 128bit. I really need some help, I dont think the 1650 is as good as the 9800pro, or is it?

I had a 440mx and it was a powerhouse in its time and even after. I also upgraded to a 5200 and hated it, no offence but the 9600 would have been a better choice.

I noticed in my logs that Vista deleted 4 or 5 backups I had. I really didnt want that to happen since I am doing testing and have before and after backups. Now they are gone. Anyone know how to disble that? It said "deleting the oldest shadow copy of my drive to save space" like 5 times, I could live with once but all of them? Except 2 ?

right click on toolbar and select properties, then go notication tab.

I found Vista pretty well flawless........ I have my reliability chart that tells me of any problems, I cant believe how naïve they sound He gets a display rating of 2 with a 7600gs..... I get 2.4 with a 9600se, lol

Ya I did that before I installed Vista. I guess the drive is on its way out. I had some suspicion from this when I first brought it home, used. I used pc wizzard to show the smart info and it has some bad errors. I have 3 of the same drives, the best one has 98se and 4 other partions of "everything" that I refuse to give up on, yet. I had some start-up issues today and I ran chkdsk and there are bad sectors now. I have the drive split in 3 partitions. Would the bad sectors go away after a format on that partition or are they there to stay? I checked the other partitions and they are ok. What do you figure, toast? Would overclocking my videocard with ati tool do this?

Ya, it's better than mine. I really want a new video card but the local shops all are scammers and never have quality product. My options are x1300pro256mb or x1600pro 512mb from Future shop. I'm just waiting for the christmas sale or new years blowout.......... B) I would love a x800 or x850xt

Whats the ram size in yours? Mine has a crappy 64bit memory bus. I get 32fps on the ati tool at 420-216 A x850xt pe gets 500fps+ Gforce5200 gets 16....lol
