The new Opera 10.61 installs without KernelEX.

Well I tried netapi32.dll 5.00.2194.1/4.90.0.3000 and they both works. I did notice that MDGx say don't use the files listed below and I retested them on my own. My network adapters was detected, installed the drivers and now I'm connected. The only one that doesn't work is NETDI.DLL, it breaks the network file in the control panel. But the rest works without problems from what I can tell. 6-11-2005 * Removed WinME replacements [%windir%\SYSTEM]: NETAPI.DLL, NETAPI32.DLL, NETDI.DLL + NETOS.DLL from options 1 + 2 to fix network device detection. I also notice with option 3 install I was able to get Windows Movie Maker to work from copying its folder I had save from my USB. Just dropping the folder in C:\Program Files seems to work for me without any extra hassle. But when yours did install from a previous version it was asking for shell32.new. The gamezone folder don't install either. After viewing a cab file in windows explorer the extract doesn't work any more.

This method didn't work for me. It must be RP7 that might help it run for you. @ MDGx 98SE2ME does not restore original Win98SE files. Option 3 does not either. Shimgvw.dll does not work at all with or without KernelEX/Option 3. Windows Movie Maker does not install at all in C:\Program Files.

Yeah I believe this is why more apps are getting broken, believe it or not but the more tweaks\hacks you guys figure out they are gonna try their best to fix'em. Lets go underground and not advertise the hacks\tweaks. Just a suggestion because they are watching us.

I'm looking for a wireless g mini pci card for my laptop for Win98SE. Now, what I'm going to do is buy a wireless n mini pci first because I have a dell inspiron 1200 with Windows Xp. So I'm thinking buy the N card first and try it out on Windows 98SE to see if it works by tweaking the INF or setup file. If not then I will just roll with the N card for WinXP and the G card for Win98SE. I need some help finding a good G card just incase I don't get the N card working. Thanks

WDMSTUB.SYS is in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS. I ran regedit and found no entries. Whats next?

Well I deleted the files in safe mode let it redect and the same results. Its not working at all. Why I don't know.

Thanks but none of those WinXP files work. USBSTOR.SYS 4.90.3000.1 is the only one that works on my system. Thanks for all your help. Having different mobo/chipsets wouldn't affect this will it?

Usbstor.sys 5.00.2195.6773 does not work correctly with my USB flash drive. I have to re-install NUSB just to get it working. NUSB overrides this with an older version of 4.90.3000.1. Can you fix this issue. Thank you very much. P.S It also crazy how I replace older files with the newer XP files and get no BSOD etc... When you have some free time, can you please update your TTFPAK.EXE with some of the newer fonts from WinXP SP3 that erpdude8 mentioned in his 98 FE SP? Thank you very much.

the thing is I have Opera 10.60 installed but it doesn't work correctly so what I did was replace the Opera.dll from 10.54 and got it working without KernelEx. So if you guys want me to change the title I will. dencorso do you think you can use your downgrade technique for opera.dll 10.60 so we can replace it with 10.54. Sorry for the misunderstanding any/everyone.

This is my issue, before I come here and post a question I do a google search, as I said before if google had all the answers I wouldn't be posting questions right? Aside from that you guys get in our topic for no reason at all just to be pricks. If you are only going to suggest google please don't post in my topic. dencorso and jaclaz are some of the best on here, they always provide links and is always helping in some kind of way. To all you google suggesting people, take dencorso and jaclaz approach if you can't help then stop sucking up the bandwidth please.
