Replace the opera.dll from 10.54 and 10.6 should work. I'm using it now. I read this on the opera forum and it works. Don't know if it loses functions or stabilty or what not.
-
This is the last version of Opera that would install on my Win98SE machine. Now that we got that thing clear, can you guys who are master @ tweaking/hacking/tips/tricks etc.... help us get the best and ultimate performance out of this last official version. Thanks
-
This method might work for the hard drive if you use ATADRV98.EXE from MDGx site. Just a suggestion.
-
The main thing to do is tweak Opera to its full capability til it works the best because Win98 is getting killed all over!

Not sure what Gape's up to but if he decides not to continue this service pack, can someone pick up where he left off @?

I purchased the FmLfns 1.1. Install everything ok, but when I set explorer.exe to winfile.exe in System.ini the long file names disappear. Why is this happening? I have to keep reinstalling FmLfns 1.1 to work.

Running Add/Remove Components during XP setup (like NT4 used to do)
PROBLEMCHYLD replied to fdv's topic in Windows XP
Me personally, I don't care too much for WinXP at all, but if you make one for 2000 pro/server I will definitely interested. Thanks for your hard work and time. How do I add all the components to be optional? -
98MP10 = WMP10 XP + XP SP3 Killer Replacements
PROBLEMCHYLD replied to MDGx's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
Will these files work without installing 98MP10? I do have it installed on one computer but not my other. I have MPC installed with WMP 6.4 codecs. These are newer of course. WMV8DS32.AX 8.0.0.4000 WMVDS32.AX 7.1.0.3055 LAPRXY.DLL 10.0.0.4332 MP4SDMOD.DLL 9.0.0.4504 STRMDLL.DLL 4.1.0.3938 WMADMOD.DLL 10.0.0.4332 WMPNS.DLL 9.0.0.4504 WMSDMOD.DLL 10.0.0.4332 WMVDMOD.DLL 10.0.0.4332 -

Is it possible to disable all the internal/external filters in mpc thats intergrated and add only the filters for the formats of media that, I will be using? I read the internal/externals filters will automatically use the default filters from MPC.
-
They are not though. So please tell me the next step. Thank you

How do I register these 2 files? L3CODECA.ACM L3CODECX.AX

What about just extracting the files AAC_PARSER.AX FLVSPLITTER.AX MADFLAC.AX MATROSKASPLITTER.AX MP4SPLITTER.AX MPEGSPLITTER.AX VSFILTER.DLL and using a batch or reg file to install them. Thats a lot of installing if you install all those one by one. What are the actual files, I need to extract from these 3 files, I rather not have a bunch of extra files just the filters/codecs? 3ivx_d4_451_win.exe ffdshow_rev1936_20080413_clsid.exe oggcodecs_0.73.1936.exe Also I would like to add a few more codecs I use, can I add these to my directshow folder you suggested instead of the C:\Windows\system folder/ CLVSD.AX DIVXDEC.AX XVID.AX DIVX.DLL XVIDCORE.DLL XVIDVFW.DLL

Proper subtitle handling in Win98 compatible players.

Nero plays subtitles, I'm not sure the exact files but when I play a movie with nero 6 lite installed the subtitles are on automatically. -

You definitely can't forget about MDGx, erpdude8, dencorso with his downgrade patch technique and everybody else in the Win98SE forums. Thanks to all! -
What happen to the 2000 server fileset on your site? I don't have my 2000 server yet but it should be here by Thursday. I want to test it out when my cd comes. Thanks
-
I'm just gonna buy a Windows 2000 Server cd of ebay. I seen a used one for about $60. I will order it tomorrow, and hopefully this will answer all my problems. Thanks to all you guys for your support/patience.

What is DHCP for because different websites are saying different things. Example 1 The only difference with me is I want about 20 computers to connect to my network.
-
How exactly does that help? That's completely unrelated to VPN, sharing files over the internet and all that. It does absolutely nothing which you've been asking for since post #1. I can attest the WRT160N makes for a semi-decent paperweight though. It's just a little on the light side but it's stylish. I prefer VPN but if I can't get it, then I will settle for a little less. What do you mean? I thought it would allow other computers outside my local network connect to my computers. Yes I want/wanted VPN but if there are other ways them I'm all ears. Like I said I'm just looking for the best and secure solution. As you guys may have notice, I'm new to this. I don't know about servers and network protocols etc...
-
I have found my solution and it was free. Thanks to all you programmers out there. Heres the link. http://ruttkamp.gmxhome.de/dhcpsrv/dhcpsrv.htm I'm still gonna buy the router beacuse we have three laptops.
-
What solution? You didn't mention anything. Heh, I have one of those gathering dust... and it's likely to keep gathering dust for another while (it was replaced by another router that was 1/3 of the price or so but about a million times better) If I buy this linksys router http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=15759&p_created=1196672764 will I be able to connect through the internet?
-
Will this solution work. If so I will buy the router this friday. http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=15759&p_created=1196672764
