I was trying to avoid buying a server version of Win 2000 because I have pro. Its seems like my only solution is to get the server version. I was not ignoring the replies I was just waiting on more suggestions, advice, input from other forum members, then figure out the best option. Sorry If I sounded rude just stressed out a little bit. Ok, this is what I'm trying to do. I have a computer with Windows 2000 Pro update to the latest. I have a Internet connection using broadband, 10mpbs. I will buy a linksys router for extra security. I will be using RealPopup network tool, to communicate with other computers thats on my network. I want family and friends to connect to my computer through the internet because everybody live in different states and cities, so a local network is out of the ?. I haven't bought my external devices yet because I want to be sure I can share them. I know how to do this part. Whats the (BEST) solution to my problem?

Ok thanks for trying to help. I want people to connect to the external devices, I'm aware of the liability and problems that can occur. This is why they will only use external, and not internal devices. I will give filezilla a shot.

That didn't make any sense at all. Well you should help it make sense. If you know the solution to the problem then you post it instead of sucking up the bandwidth. All I want to do is connect multiple computers to my system to share files. I thought a router was a solution but I guess not.

What about if i just get a router and add mac addresses for people to connect. I then should have as many as I want right?

MDGx when you have some spare time can you add usbccgp.sys 5.1.2600.5512 or what ever version you think is suitable for this package.

Hope its ok to post this if not mods can delete it. After I install AIM 5.9 I nstall aim ad hack which is a big help.

You can always install the last version of Aim for Windows 98SE if you have not already Aim Version 5.9.6089.

I just seen a Voodoo laptop in a magazine and was wondering is this a good laptop. I don't think I've seen anyone in the forum talk about it. I was considering getting one if the price is reasonable.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1200, it has a newer version than the one thats listed above. It installed but it was in the dllcache folder. Is that where it suppose to be?

The index.dat files and any other file can be deleted in Dos, with a simple bat file.
