What version of AUTOCHK.EXE do you have?

Remember ladies and gentlemen, this is READ-ONLY 1. Get these files from Windows 2000 Pro/Server source. The NLS files are the same regardless of the SP level. AUTOCHK.EXE 5.0.2195.6881 C_437.NLS C_1252.NLS L_INTL.NLS NTDLL.DLL 5.0.2195.7080 NTFS.SYS 5.0.2195.7050 NTOSKRNL.EXE 5.0.2195.7376 2. Copy all the files above to the root drive C:\ or D:\ etc...... 3. Install the Sysinternal/Winternal version 2.0. When asked for a directory create C:\NTFS or D:\NTFS etc....... 4. After the files install, ignore the reboot. 5. Navigate to autoexec.bat and add the following lines C:\NTFS\NTFSCHK.EXE /S /F /Q * or D:\NTFS\NTFSCHK.EXE /S /F /Q * etc..... 6. Locate the NTFSCHKA.BAT in the Windows directory and add /F right before the * 7. Reboot Now you can view your NTFS drive, copy files from it and dual boot with it. You canNOT write files to the NTFS partition. Enjoy The advance options, I really don't understand them. I believe they are for the pro/write version. I could be wrong. WARNING: Be careful using SATA drives unless you have a IDE adapter. Your system will crash.

D@mn! You wasn't lying, it takes some work to get it up and running. I have tested all files except the Server files. I chose to stick with Windows 2000 files because they are very stable. I have got them working. if you still interested, I will post instructions later. Off to test the Paragon version

Using the Winternals NTFS version, I was able to get my SATA working through a caddy which has an IDE interface. Everything worked just like I wanted it to. The only time you get a BSOD is when you hook up a USB SATA drive. I was able to copy from the NTFS drive without any problems. This is how I will be dual booting Other than that, I'm golden. Only a few people made a big deal about the icons being change, so I ignored it because at the end of the day, theres always gonna be someone who doesn't like something about it. If someone want the original Win98 icons, you can install the SP and then replace the necessary files from the links below.

For some reason, this crashes with my sata drive.We need a better solution. Maybe this can be fix with some patching etc......

I will be releasing an update Wednesday, August 1, 2012. Which is my birthday. I made some mistakes along the away by not registering some DLL files. I have downloaded most of MDGx Unofficial packs and analyze them to the fullest I have rectified the issues. It is recommended to install main updates. Sorry guys

I kinda understand what you guys are saying now. The first 2 times I read you guys posts, I thought you guys was saying everything I have done was pointless. You wasn't saying that, and now I understand. Believe it or not, I have sacrifice a lot (I can go into details if you like) to try my best to accommadate as many people as possible. If someone can get me a list of all the updates thats not already included in the old version of WinME SP.x. I can start the procedure. Apparently when you PM certain people, they tend to ignore you. So I'll do it myself. I'm not a WinME power user, but someone like loblo can really help me. Not tooo proud to ask for help.

So why are we using some WinME files when the Win98 files works just fine? The WinME/Win2000/XP/Vista are no better than each other.

My goal is to improve Win98 by all means necessary. I have been more active with SP3 in the last year than others have been in the last 5 yrs with all their abandoned unofficial packs/projects. And yes, I have just as many responsibilities as anyone else. I have bills and I have a family thats needs providing for. I have been dealing with death more in the last 2 years than my entire lifetime. I do this for the love, because I'm passionate about not being stuck in any situation. I don't do for the money (NO DONATIONS HAS BEEN OFFERED), I do it because I like challenges. So what you are saying is adding any files thats not intended for Win98 is pointless, just cause it might breaks something. Well that means 98SE2ME is pointless (No Disrespect to you MDGx) because some files in MDGx packs break some things. It has been posted in the proper forum. Maybe I should just remove all the WinME/Win2000/WinXP files etc.... because it pointless.

I don't know any coding, but just like everything else I have learned over the years, I'm sure I will get it with some time and ambition. Maybe some books/websites etc... can help me along the way. Thanks TmEE
