  1. God, I REALLY need to finish the site The new site has more of the progression you're speaking of. It's even divided into sections, progressively adding more to it. Just onelittle criticism.... Shrinking source should NOT be touched by noobs. Perhaps closer to the point of Cosmetics or such. As by that time they have a grasp and they KNOW where it goes wrong.
  2. that's not true. You don't need the source code, you just need a dissassembler and an understanding of Assembly language to find the correct offset to modify in HEX.
  3. [GuiRunOnce] is found in WINNT.SIF. Read the WINNT.SIF reference on the site for more details. All it does is execute the line there at logon. So, say you had a batch file that installs your applications (I'm refering to the first snippet of code) you would add the example to your CMD file that is being executed from GUIRunOnce. That's what it's trying to say. Bear in mind, you will have to first HAVE a CMD file to copy it to. If you don't just create one Read the site about where to make it. (I suggest sticking to GUIRunOnce and not progressing to RunOnceEX till you understand the basics. It will help cure your headaches before they start )
  4. To the original poster: My apologies, I usually do answer in more detailed responses, however I thought a simple no would have sufficed. Sorry. @tjhart85 They never said that, atleast in the movies. The people from the future said they said it. lol.
  5. perhaps I could have elaborated more on my first post. Should the other users have posted laughing at the user? no, most likely they were laughing at my response. However, the topic HAS been discussed before. I neither said nor denied such a thing. I am writing a WINNTBBU guide for the Unattended website that does detail changing more then what Astalavista has typed up, however Progress Bar is not possible. Not easily anyways. You can change it's position by changing the text size of the items on the left, but that's not a very effecient method. I'm still researching other ways to do it, so I'll keep this thread appraised, but however, my initial response stands. NO. Next time, I shall be more "specific" when I answer no.
  6. delete the entire resource, or replace with a 1x1 pixel image.
  7. you are looking at it with File Extensions on right? setupmgr creates an unattend.txt file. So you'll have to manually change the extension. Try CAPITALIZING the name as well. SOmetiems that works.
  8. You should know better. Perhaps ask XPero directly. I know he makes XP style stuff.
  9. i told you, no. perhaps I should elaborate.... you CAN'T move it. Colors MAYBE, but moving, NO!
  10. Closed Work for what you want. Use proper grammar. Read the documentation. The CURRENT Config screen allows you to easily type in what you need.
  11. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/space_saving_tips.htm No excuse for not searching.
  12. No. It will be done after I'm done with the site. Sorry, but I really wanna finish the site. The MSI should take too long however, so yeah....
  13. syssetup.dll (i think) Happy now? syssetup controls all of setup.
  14. simple solution, use RyanVM's pack. It should work anywhere. The main problem with RunOnce is that it wants to restart
  15. That's kinda funny actually. As for people in corporations abiding by the EULA, I wouldn't count on it. GreenMachine has the same thing as well, and I still see people saying they plan to use it in there corporations but probally haven't even paid him.
  16. dude, if it was for an XP ISO, it would have been removed. It clearly says in the URL "XPCLISTS". Where did you get ISO?
  17. It's available only in Professional, not Home.
  18. unattended.msfn.org Read that instead. It's easier to understand then Microsoft's
  19. last I saw, there is no reference to Longhorn in XP releated files. Something must have gotten mixed in. anyway, the screen is found in ntoskrnl.exe or ntkrnlmp.exe Also, to slipstream to a Dell CD, remove the SVCPACK.INF file in I386, then try slipstreaming.
  20. does the file digiras.ch_ exist on the DVD? did you use nLite? if all is well, just try remaking the ISO the DVD was made from, and try that. Could just be a fluke (misread or something)
  21. I'm planning on having direct links to the UXtheme.dll file from the MSFN server, instead of going offsite. That will take of that issue. as for the one at hand... :\
  22. yes. As a matter of simplicity, anytime you edit a file that is going to be put on the CD, modifype it. It will save hassle later on.
