You ok m8. Ummmm let me think I do believe you can use that key with another retail disk. It wouldn't hurt at all to call MS and ask them I have heard of them sending out replacement media (The XP upgrade disk) for 10 bucks...

Ok use winrar and manually extract the sp (Right click on it) then goto i386->update->Update.exe and run it. This *should* fix your problem. P.S. If you have the time and the resources making a slipstreamed disk is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. P.P.S. Welcome to MSFN!!!

Ok first off just how sure are you these are the right drivers? Also without the .cat the are non-signed drivers meaning windows won't automatically use them unless you have stated to ignore the driver sgning policy in your winnt.sif. Look for signed drivers that go with your device. or post an actual name and model here so we can help you look.

Yup your right. I am sorry I just tried it on a fresh system with a full install and its not there. See I use XPize darkside and it is done with it. The only way would be to do it by hand or wait till XPero gets the whole new system done.

nope no other way reshacker reshack xedit some dll modifier is the only way. Why do you say reshack puts your XP at risk? Tens of thousands of people have used XPize and all it is is a wrapper for a bunch of reshack scripts. Reshack does not harm your system....

???? What unnatended version? Are you using a warez copy of Windows?

I had a script that SOMEWHAT worked with remove-able drives then DougieFresh went all nuts and totally took the whole thing wayyyy over-booard so I still keep the little simple one. I did however make a version that uses much less resources. (892 kb running right now) HAHAHH Look at that.
