I mean by mix your full disk having everything all in one go and installlation. Windows XP, Service pack, Windows Media Player 11, Internet Explorer 7 and several addons (Third party upgrades and programs) plus drivers. By "Mix" I mean using nLite and Having it mix all that stuff together. Reformatting once it goes final is because you won't be able to install the final SP3 over a SP3 beta slipstreamed disk. Not only do you need the proper txtsetup entries you need dosnet.inf entries and a sysoc.inf entry also. There will be an inf buried somewhere that tells the theme cab where to extract and what names to name the files and such.(Prolly the same name as the cab file) It would be much better if you can upload the theme cab to a temp server and let one of us (I can do it) make a switchless installer for you to add to your cmdlines.txt (so much simpler that trying to find the proper inf and everthing. What is the themes name or is it a collection? (Chances are I might have made the theme addon.) Glad to see someone going legit and learning to do things for themeselves.

OK here goes my 2 cents. First off if acer is only offering those dl's for XP then most likely SP2 has all the rest Acer is pretty good at that. I am pretty anal about my installs so I would install xp or vista, whatever and then mix your full disk. SP3 is super but please remember that it is BETA material so you will be reformatting once it goes final if you wish to use it. Ryans is a super way to go and the way I have gone for well over 2 years now. Then you will want to test your disk using a Virtualization program like VMWare (30 day trial, also my fav) VirtualPC (Which is free) or one of the others like Parallels. Once you decide on your full mix make sure you gather it all together and have at it in one go first off. Most likely you will be pleasently suprised and it will all work well. If not then you would be reduced to going at it in steps and testing between each step. OH and SP3 contains all of SP2 and SP1's fixes and updates.

Shellstyle.dll is the key file for that one. (Open with reshacker)

Ahhhhh nLite Ya know there is some kinda service (Don't know yet which one) or file that can be removed with nlite that causes WPI to choke. Also Nero 7 made it have errors.

Should be a simple fix then just dl a fresh copy ad replace all WPI files one of your files musta gotten corrupted.

Give it a firm smack with the flat of your hand and it should dislodge it. (Not too hard though)

Ok that was pointless sorry (Nothing wrong in there.) Are you using a weird command to start WPI with? I mean are you denoting a custom options file during the start proccess. IE6 is fine WPI as will run on XP SP0 just fine right out of the box.

Ok i can tell you right now its not a ussf error it is the installer. That is a more complex installer. I would be willing to bet you can right click on it and extract it using a program like winrar. If not you can run it and goto you user profile temp folder and grab the files it places in there. Ussf is made for most common installers it is not an all-in-one stop. The "Applications Install" section of this forum can help you further with the apps ussf can't help you with.

Nope it just means that it cannot identify the installer you tried it on. (PEid is built into that one) Which installer did you try it on so I can confirm? P.S. Welcome to MSFN.

Yes its DDR2 and yes you can use a slightly higher speed.

Which version of WPI are you using? Also do you have write permissions on the usb drive? And did you modify any files?
