  1. Hmmm I don't get the proposed fix here? Please elaborate just a bit more.
  2. sweet! I like that we got a new kid on the block that can help weed out these tiny bugs and fix them!! Even if I am not replying to all of your posts I am getting the info!
  3. Many apps have switches that will allow for installation on other locations, BUT for most you will have to learn complex scripts like auto-it to automate the installation process and area where the apps are installed to. EasyBOOT is an example of an app that you can define the location of : %wpipath%\Install\EasyBoot.exe /VERYSILENT /DIR="C:\Program Files\EasyBoot"
  4. It's actuallly defined using switches. The info is in the changelog a few versions back just read through it. It's like wpi.hta config=standard.js
  5. Yeah WU is NOT ready for SP3 yet... SP3 has not been "Officially" released yet.
  6. Ummm just a wild guess here but did you ever think it might be your 50 some odd sata drivers?
  7. Enable the logging ability in the options section then after a test the top part will tell you what you are looking for. P.S. There is an "Edit" post button.
  8. WGA is NOT in SP3!
  9. Actually it says more about nLite than warez. nLite is so simple to use and widely used that "most" warez versions of it have been nLited. Heck alot of the top releases use my program WPI in them too, I am constantly getting asked for help with warez versions out there. AutoPatcher was shutdown for this very reason. The files they were distrubuting where free MS files BUT since they are not a licensed distrubuter they where allowing the files to be distrubuted illegally The reason I am being such an a** is they are very close to closing this section of the forum down (nLite area) because too many people here think things like this are OK. They are not.
  10. Updated : Up to July 2007 Included : JRE-5.0-Update-6 gtk+-2.10.13 Python-2.5.1 vcredist dotnetfx-2.0 InfraRecorder-0.43.1 cdrtfe-1.3 CdFly-0.3 7zip-4.51 peazip-1.8.2 Gimp-2.2.17 Blender-2.44 Inkscape-0.45.1 ImageMagick-6.3.4 frozen_bubble-1.0.0 supertux-0.3.0 tuxracer sudoku-easy clamwin-0.91.1 FireFox-2.0.0.5 Thunderbird-2.0.0.5 Sunbird-0.5 httrack-3.41 nvu-1.0 Pidgin-2.0.2 TrueDownloader-0.82 Audacity-1.3.3 Traverso-0.40.0 AviDemux-2.4 Vivia-0.1 OpenOffice-2.2.1 NotePad++-4.1.2: SumatraPDF-0.6 vlc-0.8.6c KMPlayer-2.9.3.1304 SMPlayer-0.5.21 Songbird-0.2 winmd5sum Ok so I see no included non-freeware software. The main point is EVERY link I found for your "legal" copy comes from warez, bittorent sites and non of them are legit MS distributers. You can't remove sp2 just use nlite to merge the driver cabs. The reason I am being such an a** is they are very close to closing this section of the forum down (nLite area) because too many people here think things like this are OK. They are not.
  11. Seriously it doesn't matter. You downloaded a copy of XP from a third party and that copy came with a serial that you had to change and I am willing to bet it has other third party software in it. You have to stick with your copy and learn to do it for your self.
  12. HAahahha you can't download a legal version of windows from any other site than MS. You downloaded warez. You'll get no help here.
  13. inf files have the names of all the required files inside of them vLite and nLite take these inf files and read them gathering the needed dll files and such.
  14. Do you mean the installation window? The one where the apps are installing? Because the categories are automaitcally sorted alphabetically in the main display window, To do so you will have to use carefull numbering in the order. If this is not what you mean the provide a pic please.
  15. FileExists('%programfiles%\java\jre1.6.0_06\java.exe') Dependant of = Java No need for external scripts. It's all built in already read the manual and changelog. I have just provided 2 examples of them for you.
  16. I think I am going to make a sp1a - sp2 - sp3 nlited to combine the drivers.cabs iso and use that for a bit to see the diff.
  17. Yaknow whats super weird? Did you make this disk onna Vista or 2008 machine? Apearantly that makes a huge difference because of the Existing windows "api's" or some weird shiat like that. I was having isues with it not taking my legit key untill I slipstreamed my disk on my xp boot parttition. So if you are having those issues and am using a current OS then I suggest trying to make your BASE (The SP3 iso) in an xp or older machine. As for the rest I included NO hotfixes just IE7 WMP11 & the usual bunch of addons I use (lemme grab the list) Kels_CPLBonus_addon_v8.2.1.cab Kels_CursorXP_v1.3a_Addon.CAB Kels_Personal_addon.CAB Kels_Runtimes_addon_v4.1.cab Kels_Uber_addon_v12.cab Kels_VistaDriveIndicator_addon_v2.2.CAB Kels_VMware6Tools_6.0.3.80004_Addon.CAB Ricks_SpywareBlaster4.0_AddOn_80423.7z And they are all working very nicely.
  18. OK Listen carefully: Windows update IS NOT ready for SP3! All of the current hotfixes will need to be re-released because they only have code inside them for SP2... You Slipstream SP3 FIRST then IE7 and it is currently as up to date as possible right now. Its just dumb to do IE7 and WMP11 first because SP3 will just overwrite all of the files...
  19. I did SP3 on a Gold source. Added IE7 And a bunch of addons. Ran boooggys' slipstreamer with Just WMP11 all went fine.
  20. Works fine for me...
  21. Ummm that requirement is for a PRE-installed and running system... If you try to install it on a system installed with XP gold it will tell you SP1a at least is REQUIRED. I am currently on an SP3 final system that was integrated on a gold disk. See this means installed and installing, not slipstreaming.
  22. I was referring to his I don't give a s**t attitude... Not the actual use of an oem on another machine. BUT you do have to remember that OEM licences do cost way less and have even been bundled with simple things like ide cables in the past just to thwart MS.
  23. Actually you don't even "own" the license You have only rented it if you have read the EULA. MS still has the right at any time to deny you access to it. It's people like you that is the reason why piracy is so huge and the damned OS costs us soo much.
  24. HAHAAHH You REALLY are missing out on a lot of good stuff then m8. Any and I mean ANY half decent antivirus will scan a compressed file and tell you if there is a virus in it.
