  1. 90% (or more) of the stuff you install "post install" could be automated with WPI.
  2. Simply call the text file and it will open in the defualt veiwer. "c:\Mitech tools\Instuctions.txt"
  3. I actually wasn't goimg for that but it is a good idea and pretty easy todo.
  4. LOL hey guys! Do you have you cd identifier files on the disk? ie.. win51 win51ip win51ip.sp2 ???
  5. @badboy 260 yes those are the right files the other 2 are inside your i386 folder in an archive named driver.cab. Plus I did'nt get a chance to grab your first image please repost it.
  6. @ Hellscream We cannot help you unless you help us! Tell us what steps you have done and show us what image you are using...
  7. Aaaaaand just how are we supposed to know just what you removed? Please attach your last session.ini
  8. Here is my begginings of an official vista theme for WPI. I used the dock-style bar from mritters excellent theme. Any suggestions? I am open to using another of the Vista wallpapers but I want to stay as close to a vista look as possible. OFCOURSE if any of you have a totally different idea let me have it.... http://www.wpiw.net/downloads/themes/official_vista.rar OH yeah and it's optimized for 1024x768 rez...
  9. Yeah I used XP on an old 466 w\512 ram for a coupla years without nLite-ing it. Ran good. After a little nLite and a coupla manual tweaks XP will run nice for you.
  10. Ok I need you 4 krnl files then please ntoskrnl.exe ntkrnlmp.exe in driver.cab: ntkrnlpa.exe ntkrpamp.exe
  11. it's in the nlite installation directory. Also you see it and are supposed to read it during installation.
  12. Did you know that nLite is not for commercial use? You are really taking a risk by using nLite illegally on consumers PC's.
  13. LOL I got the time lets try a super dooper tiny xp and see what the disk size is now... 82.31 megs for the sp3 .iso Now on to the install. 189 megs on disk total size... (Not counting page file and trash bin reserved space)
  14. Not a chance in hell... Vista will never make it that small.
  15. Ooops missed this reply! That pic while being nice will not work as a bootscreen. We are limited to 16 colors with the native XP ntoskrnl files. (It'll look like total shiat) But the first one you posted will work fine...
  16. KK I'm going to play the dumbarse noob now. I want to use this as a all-in-one CD not from usb. #1 The drivers are staying compressed on the CD. #2 I want them extracted to %SYSTEMROOT%\Drivers #3 They can be deleted aftaerwards. #4 I wold like to see the hardware manager during the proccess. As far as I have read a variable will work fine for the extraction but how do I denote a %cdrom% variable? Or just me being lazy can someone post me an ini file?
  17. And why can't you just boot from the CD drive? Millions of people do it everyday.
  18. You could at least properly rebuild it into an addon. Nice mod on the icons but the packaging leaves ALOT to be desired.
  19. OOOOOoooo I just grab that first one! Thanks geek.
  20. Flash the BIOS??? = http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...p;fileid=142094
  21. If you do a search in this section and the Nlite section you will see dozens of threads almost exactly like this one. The answer always boils down the same remove everything you want and test. If you forgot something then you need to do it all over again and then retest. Doing this sort of thing is a very long process because you will almost assuredly forget something.
  22. You have your config file named config.TEXT!!! You need it to read config.txt... Also you don't put the main files into a folder and the 7z that folder you just 7z all of the files like example2 Then you will be left with 3 files like in example 1
  23. The only way I can do it is by hacking a file or two to bypass driver signing (Thats bad BTW) I will give it one more good shot this weekend but I think I may have been beat.
