  1. it would be great to create a tool that could extract files from NSIS installers. I'm not sure, but I saw a compressor that creates SFX archives very, very, very similar to NSIS installers. UHARC GUI. I don't know if the files are compressed the same way, but maybe someone could take a look at it.
  2. maybe the MSCDEX didn't fix the variable %CDROM%, so setup couldn't be found. Win98 and WinME uses findcd.exe to fix the variable %CDROM%, so they can install windows. If you want, I can send you a boot disk that will auto start the Win98 installation, so you can modify the boot image to install Win311
  3. try using BCDW2 module instead of memdisk. I prefer to use BCDW2 instead of CDShell / BootScriptor, but sometimes CDShell is useful, but I don't use memdisk, I prefer BCDW2 module (you have to download BCDW2, inside the zip you'll find a module for use with CDShell).
  4. very nice man! I think I'll put this in a future CD, 'cause actually I don't have MCE, but I'll get it as soon as possible, I want to test it. Nice work! The font look like original!
  5. try Iconworkshop! (www.axialis.com) It can change any icon you want, on startmenu, Hd, CD, anything! It's great!
  6. if you protect your xp cd, wouldn't you have problems during the installation, 'cause the setup will copy a lot of files from your cd... I made a Nin1 CD and didn't protect it 'cause I thought I would have problems during the installation. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know...
  7. maybe we could use a commercial cd protection, like LaserLock (I read that the last version is still impossible to copy, list like SecuROM), SecuROM,... but I don't know how I could get this to put on my CD; I'm looking for a good CD protector for a Nin1 XP CD (optimized ISO with mkisofs). If anyone has a good idea...
  8. I'm trying to make a 6 in 1 Windows XP disc (CD, not DVD). The root folder is 3,07GB, and when I used CDImageGUI it optimized to 831MB (doesn't fit on a normal CD (700MB)). Is there any other program to optimize ISO images, better than CDImage(GUI)??? I tried UltraISO before (when the root was 3,03GB) and it optimized to 791MB, but I saw on other posts that UltraISO sometimes corrupt the files... so what sould I do???
  9. how could I make a Xin1 CD (max 700MB) using CDImage/CDImageGUI? I still couldn't do that. I know that exist 9in1 XP CD, but I don't have it. Could anyone make a guide showing how to make it, please????
  10. @amd64lover: I'll read Flyakite's guide, but that guide is for DVDs, isn't? I still use CDS (oh no!), but I'll buy a DVD Recorder as soon as I could. I'll read it, and try to apply on a CD. Thanks!!!! @Daemonforce: I'll take a look at CDShell.org, because the last time I got there I couldn't find what I wanted, but this time I'll be patience and I'll look for what I may be doing wrong. Thanks!!!!
  11. I don't like CDSHell because I don't know how to use it. I think it's a little dificult to make a boot cd/dvd using it, I prefer BCDW2: it's easier and customizable. But I'm trying to understand how CDShell works and I'll make a boot cd using it to compare which would be better.
  12. hey guys, what program do you prefer to make yours multiboot cds/dvds? I use BCDW2, but I want to know if is there any better and easier. I tried CDShell but I didn't liked. MagicISO is not so good, EasyBoot didn't worked when I tried... so actually I use only BCDW2. Does anyone knows any other good program to make multiboot cds/dvds????
  13. Hey man, don't worry. We're here to learn with each other. I'm not expert on this area, do you believe I don't know how to use CDSHell?! I use BCDW, it's easy and I can customize the interface as I want. If you're still interested in the big image, and if you want, I could create a blank image with any size you want and send you the link to download. Then you could open it on WinImage and add whatever you want. Just easy! My CD isn't ready, I'm still adding things to it. I'm still using a 56K modem to connect and I couldn't download too many things to put on my CD.
  14. I just loaded the boot sector from a normal 1.44MB boot image. I made the image using Windows 98 Boot Disk, and I just used his boot sector and it worked! But I only tried to use it with BCDW, and no problem... Do this: 1. Start WinImage 2. Select File > New 3. Select Imported: Select custom image format 4. Select your favorite number of sectors, sectors per clusters and then change the image format by editing the number of sectors (ex.: 12868 = 6.434 KB I hope I could help you...
  15. hey, have you ever used WinImage? It's possible to create an .ima image with any size you want! I created one 6,45MB to put NTFSDOS Professional and it works!
  16. is there a way to create my own XP Recovery just like OEM Recovery CD? I know that they use sysprep but I don't know how to perform an auto-restore boot. does anyone knows??????
  17. take a look at http://www.msfn.org/win2k3 I hope this can help you.
  18. Hello! I've Windows XP Professional SP2 (In Portuguese - BRAZIL), and I'm having a problem with Internet Options. When I open that shows only few options, and I don't know why! I've attached an screenshot of my problem. It's in portuguese, but I hope you can understand. Thanks everybody!
  19. I've seen in many pages that Norton Ghost 10 ISO is bootable, but I've Norton Ghost 9 (downloaded in a RAR archive, not the ISO) and it doesn't have a bootdisk, so how Norton Ghost 9 and 10 are bootable? Is there a way to put the boot image in a multiboot cd? HOW????????
  20. In BCDW2 there's a way to hide the main files. There's a ISO image with those files hided, a bootable ISO. Very interesting! Take a look:
