Are you sure the aero4 theme is unzipping to the right place C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes because i just tryed the neopatcher and it worked great.

make a new folder and place the WINNTBBU.DLL and syssetup.dll from your system32 folder into it along with the WinntbbuED 3.1 and remember to save completed project then place new WINNTBBU.DLL back into your systems 32 folder on your xpcd install.

yes you have enough ram for win2000 but whats your cpu size? if your pc is at least a P2-233mhz you should be fine.

You must purchase the 98upgrade cd in order to go from 98 to 98se. it makes more sense to just format c and install 98se from stratch but thats up 2 you. bootdisks for 98se can be found at www.bootdisks.com. hope this helps.

ived installed it about 30 times without a single error.its the best piece of 98se software ived used in years.

theres only one way to beat activation and that my friends is a geniune pay for xp pro cd,no matter how many cracks etc you run bill always one step ahead.Rather clever of him lol.So you can pay or run 98se or 2000 and be mighty gratefull for the continued work of such unsung heros as gapes and mdgx and others for keeping 98se up too par in 2006.

Xp is a stable good os no doubt and i too wouldnt be running vista just for the eye candy xprize etc can allow me to make xp look like vista anyway and 98se came out in 99 xp in 2001 and age is relative because the thing that dictates change is when were forced too eg.msn 7.5 google earth etc designed to run on nt only it can run on 9x if they wanted it too but you gotta sell oses so we lose out with every new os.third party apps help but people want what their friends have eg.i run 98se i want to install msn 7.5 so ill use trillium or gaim or miranda but their teasing me cause i can send winks smilies etc yet i can send text,what do you do many will upgrade just over one application.Where does it end?even thou theres a thousand sites offering pirated xpsp2 when you want to run eg.ie7beta 2 u can,t pass validation so your beat.i dont encourage using wares or do i agree with wga but were being railroaded into paying for new oses just to use appilication we dont really need.

True enough but alot of 98se users are running older pcs not new board that are installed with xp.why would you replace xp installed activated with 98se you wouldnt unless certain situations arise.on the whole the people that do use 98se for simple daily tasks are general home users not coropate users in the office and security is not much conern to my grandmother reading her email or looking up recipes online.Why do people including xp users in which i too am always preach that anything a year old is ancient outdated etc,theres folks running win95 os/2 etc simply because the program that they run work and they need not update for the sake of updating.as time goes by every os becomes harder to maintain etc but not obsolete if your already use it everyday with programs you have.when vista arrives a flock of people will be in here telling xp users what they cant do without vista much like the 98se users did to win95 diehards.So in closing why point out the obivous repeatly,do u think a guy on a p2 really cares about multi procesor or wga etc.no he just want to surf yahoo and read his email play mp3s.

a ghost image of 98se is about 200mb and xp even nlited like 900mb so unless u can compress it in the zipping process i cant see it fitting along with offfice on a 700mb cd ?dvd yes.
