  1. I wrote a toolkit that automates part of the process for customizing Windows 9x Installation CABS. It does not automate Layout*.inf or Copy*.inf File modifications.
  2. Looks OK. If it is corrupted, you could change something on the settings page, save it, unchange it and save again.
  3. Check your Notification settings. There is an option that blocks subsequent messages until you return.
  4. I am running Windows 2000 SP4 on Native Mode SATA. As far as I know, Compatibility Mode is not required.
  5. Changing INF File names should not be a problem unless they are referenced internally or by other Driver INF Files.
  6. If there are any problems, they would be most likely to occur with the DBCS languages such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. The English KERNEL32.DLL did not work with Chinese Localized Resources, while the reverse worked fine.
  7. You are probably right about the subset being smaller. So far, I haven't heard from the two who were interested. 0 < 2.
  8. I was able to assemble a Package so I am considering putting it on my Website. I have decided on $20 US + $1 (S&H). Now I will find out how big that subset is. Sorry, no gamblers.
  9. True. But I don't have any product at that price point. Store credit would be simpler. I don't see any gamblers on this thread so I think I will stick with more conventional pricing strategies.
  10. The offset is 63 Sectors. The MBR is at Sector 63. The PBR is at Sector 126. There appear to be 3 Files, using less than 350KB.
  11. That would require everyone to send $50 and have a 50% chance of getting a refund (minus fees). Who would be interested in doing that?
  12. That would give a random number between 1 and 75 with an average of 38. I see the denominator is now two. I will look into what is needed.
  13. I hadn't set a price. Dividing the required effort by zero didn't lead to a reasonable number. Dividing by one still won't be cheap.
  14. BOOTMAN was written to support >137GB Hard Drives with BIOSes that supported up to 137GB. The 48BITLBA Program only tests for that limit. I have different versions of BOOTMAN for even older BIOSes. You would still need a program to remove the OnTrack Offset.
  15. I could modify an USB Driver to access the cards, but only for Windows 9x. A tool to shift the data back to a normal position would not be hard to write. You could then use a non-interfering DDO, such as my BOOTMAN Package, to support your L400 as well.
  16. It should work like any other 2.5" PATA Drive. Make sure it is properly recognized, partitioned, and formatted.
  17. Don't buy the M.2 Version or you will need another adapter.
  18. I haven't published it on my Website. I don't know how much interest there would be.
  19. That information is on my website. There is information about Intel based Motherboards in other threads. This particular thread started with a particular AMD CPU. My AHCI Driver software has been tested on Intel Motherboards such as the H110. Look earlier in this thread for details.
  20. 10TB is probably the largest Drive they could get their hands on to test. There is no reason for the limit to be less than 17TB and the actual limit is probably much larger.
  21. i have not tested my Large File Emulator on Windows 2000. I suspect that it would not be difficult to make adjustments to support it.
  22. My products are available on my Website. My TeraByte Plus Package can easily handle up to 384TiB Hard Drives in DOS and Windows 9x, both SATA and USB. My extended MBR approach is not currently supported in Windows NT, 2000 or XP. I have an experimental hybrid extended MBR/GPT solution for Windows 7 and later when sharing with Windows 9x. I did not test Windows 7 with untranslated USB Drives, only SATA Drives, so I cannot comment on your observation. Translated USB Drives (4K Sectors) are supported by Windows XP and later to 16TiB.
