  1. In the past I wrote there was no necessity for .inf files. Then I saw some parts of my interface in English and the difference is really ugly. I still prefer reg files since as you said they are easier to read (less characters and less cryptic) and maintain. Moreover fast everyone knows what to do with reg files (if not the first thing to try is to double-click on it). However it is not easy to have internationalization. I think we should move all localizable entries into a .inf file, or at least a .reg file. I've tried have my reg files localized and it was not that funny. :/ Btw, I'll probably make an app to update to newer versions of this collection while keeping personnal values. (needed by me at least )
  2. Hey Gugutz, Just a few words about our old dilemna between .reg and .inf files: some internationalization (mainly contextual menu) is needed and afaik, only .inf can provide this. There are some converters available and especially Ref2Inf by n7Epsilon. I'm currently still working at school but holidays are nearing and I really feel like playing with this.

    acpi what?

There's an option to remove dual processor support in nlite. Maybe you did. You should *attach* your lastsession.ini to one of your post.

    acpi what?

Usually, you don't even need to set this option; windows should find it by itself and as far as I'm concerned, it has always done so (I'm running XP on a Turion64X2 and no prob).
  5. It's a pity and I'm maybe going to (re)write such a tool.
  6. everybody! New round for your desktops. =) Btw, a quick question : do people outside France also have something with fishes outside France (which is sticking a fish [paper or not] in the back of other people).
  7. Time's up for this month. Contest is coming. (* I was away skying with my class. ^^ *)
  8. Well Zxian, it seems you've won the contest. My vote goes to Orus (I can't vote :'( ). Looks like.
  9. In fact, I had Foobar play music with Kernel Streaming enabled I think. ;-)
  10. I completely agree with Zxian. Of course, some screenshots can be offending and should not be posted. However, it's what moderators are here for. In computerMan's example, the picture has been removed within 7 hours if I'm not mistaken (posted and removed roughly during my sleep hours). bms, considering the reactions, I'd like you to explain what you found not enjoyable in computerMan's screenshot (especially since I've never seen any problem with them). @computerMan's, I'd like to see your desktop screenshot back but of course we can't force you; it's completely up to you.
  11. That's what they all say. I'm gonna ban you! ... As soon as I get the button.
  12. Better late than never so here is the February contest. mr.browstone : post hypnotic Zxian : post Is it still windows? skiso : post two monitors, arghhh Claude : post simple Orus : post Romantic g33k?
  13. -pS, congratulations, you've won the contest.
  14. Away for one week and no connection problem.
  15. Yup, sorry, I was away, skying. The thing is I thought "We are the 24. I'll be back in a week so 1. or 2. of march. No problem." And since I'm stupid, I did not realize I would go back to school on the fifth and not on the third. And there was also the fact that most people know there are never more than 29 days in February and 28 most of the time. Really stupid. =D Anyway, thanks&pinned. Also, I had a train problem and got home later than expected (it's 9p.m. here). I don't really have time to do the february's contest before friday (or wednesday maybe). I have to apologize again for this. But this won't happen again before a loooooooong time since I won't have time for more than 2 weeks of holidays during the summer and then I won't have holidays at all during a whole year (or two). Thanks to school! ^^
  16. ini, reg, inf have no syntax highlighting? No syntax folding either probably. Have you ever changed more than one association in windows? I have quite a good experience in this field and can tell you replacing notepad.exe is by far the easiest method.
  17. What is your machine? IMHO 34minutes is really too long. Has it always been that long?
  18. Which btw makes you sure you don't have burning errors.
  19. I was on the front page and opened the forum in a new tab and then opened 4 topics in new tabs too. While I was still logged in for the forum (1st tab), I was logged out for others and when I refreshed the tab where I was still logged, I was disconnected. I reconnected without problem. Is it possible that opening too many pages at the same time disconnected me?
  20. Answer: There's a "spoiler" tag, let's use it.
  21. Can I have a 30000x1px image in my sig?
  22. Maybe, I forgot my cleanup scripts were run both at T-12 and ROE.
  23. I'm stupid. XN Resource Editor is already 64-bit compatible. Just like CFFExplorer. They just lack batch support. XN Resource Editor is open-source so we can update it. CFFExplorer is not OSS but imho its coder won't be reluctant to implement this sort of thing. Now, we just need to ask them for some help.
  24. I have the same problem and running this command at T-12 puts the icon back in all sessions.
