    acpi what?

OK.......so is there a way to pause the installation at the beginning to specify what kind of system it is? Instead of being on alert to press F5, that is. For now I'm going to start from scratch with my original XP SP1 cd just to make sure there are no altered files, nothing messed up somewhere along the lines. Integration is easy, it's the rest of this stuff that's not so good.

Device manager shows me "Advanced Configuration and Power Interface PC." System properties lists it properly, as an "Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+" but Task Manager/Performance shows only one CPU.

    acpi what?

So how come on my old system I had to set it up in winnt.sif as an acpi system or it defaulted to 'standard pc' if i didn't intervene (F5) during set up? Maybe I'll remove the line and see how the system comes out in virtual pc. Is that all I'd have to remove? No files, etc?

    acpi what?

I have an AMD 64 X2 cpu. When going through nLite I choose ComputerType="ACPI Multiprocessor PC", Retail as the system type, but whenever I've installed xp to my virtual drive, it always comes up as Advanced Configuration and Power Interface PC when I check the system specs. I've had an unattended xp cd for a while, for my old single cpu system, but since upgrading my hardware, my software has to follow. I'm not really familiar with nLite, so I'm not an advanced user where this stuff is concerned. After doing a lot of reading in forums and groups, I've come to the conclusion that a LOT of people have this same issue, but I can't find a resolution. Can I get some advice on how to make the system be a multiprocessor one?
