Nice. I think I'm gonna bookmark or maybe even save on my HD this page. Btw, any additionnal feedback for NOD32 under Vista ? Stable, fast... ?
-
Can you ping the machine ? Maybe a firewall is blocking traffic. This often happens as Netbios is a real security problem. Maybe something on the distant machine ? Open a cmd prompt and type "netstat -an" in on both machines : do you see ports 135/137/138/139, 445 ? Maybe you can borrow a laptop to a friend and try connecting to your shares with it.

1-there is no "no window during setup" afaik but a "classic setup screen". 3-behaviour is to always underline or to underline only when ALT is pressed. Again, afaik, nlite can not change this. You may hack explorer.exe if you really want. 5-I guess you have slipstreamed DirectX and removed cat files. Also, I guess some of the found devices are DBA things. 7-this happens because of a combination between black setup background and classic setup screen. Yesterday, I couldn't use these tweaks as I do usually and got deep blue. But don't you think light blue is much nicer (see attachment) 1-that wouldn't be a tweak but a hack, I don't think it's so easy to do with windows. However, you may use CDShell and make it first check if /*introduce correct thing here, have no idea ATM*/ 3-isn't that tweak already present ? 7-for now, you may add it to $OEM$\$$\Web\Wallpaper Who wants to deal with even numbers now ? attachment : VM not booting anymore, autolong-password problem...

Thanks a lot, nlite is extracting cabs ATM. No more problem. edit : iso finished without problem.

Much nicer than the blue royale. Thanks a lot.

Maybe that this dll is very nice but it's illegal, dont' discuss about it here please.
-
No, it's not broken, just impossible to enable or disable. (this is just an interface problem)
-
Thanks. As far as I understand, in fact, no functionnality is needed; it will just popup with a not found error. Why not use a fast empty dll then ? When called, it would return immediately.

Yet Another XP Mod - yAXM Project
Camarade_Tux replied to Camarade_Tux's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
DPs are of course supported. A 700MB CD is enough to put everything (softs and most used DPs). Runing something at T-12 is not really interrupting the installation imo. What I like is it saves one reboot. However, I don't like being stuck in one way so I'll try to make this runnable with ROE when the project is nearly stable (should not be long ). Attached XP SP1 screenshot, forgot to disabled O&ODefrag service auto matic start. Nearly everything installed, including VMWareTools. -
Change unattended mode to "Provide Default" and when prompted for the key, click next. If you don't get an error, you correctly typed your key. Otherwise, you made an error. This may only be useful if the fields are empty when you get your error.

Some .cat files can be replaced with 0-bit equivalents: spX.cat (the level of your SP under winXP) MSTSWEB.CAT MAPIMIG.CAT IASNT4.CAT HPCRDP.CAT OSCCAB.CAT The last five save approx. 100KB. It is possible you have .CA_ files in i386 for these. When replacing with 0-bit equivalents, you should rather have a .CAT extension.

XP SP2 : 412 components out of 503 selected, Activation removed After nLite: 138MB After running a batch file of mine : 134MB I attached a few screenies of what I get in VMWare, before installing VMWareTools. Since there's a bug (with saving presets) in nlite 1.2 final, I won't attach my settings and wait for this bug to be solved. I also have to insist on the fact this projetc is not (really) to be used with AD/Domains or corporate things, but on home computers, with a CD installation... PS: I've forgotten how to check if a file is present in batch. May someone help me ? -
Here too. (* sorry, couldn't resist *) edit : if you don't change any of these options, nlite won't crash.
-
B) Prepares a giant 50 mile list of tweaks for r3incarnat0r. I think he's gonna have *lot* of fun.
-
And what about Vista ? No, kidding. Thanks for this release, I'm testing right now. edit : how does it come Desktop Cleanup Wizard is needed for "Activation and Sysprep" ? edit2: I always forget the difference between Connection Manager, Internet Connection Wizard and Network Setup Wizard. It would be easier with some screenshots (or with a link to an webpage with a screenshot).

I want one... with the 7.1 kit ... and with the space to have a 7.1 kit.

SFC_OS.DLL hack for XP SP2 Final
Camarade_Tux replied to Denney's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Search for sfc on [url="http://www.vorck.com/hfslip.html"]this page[/url] sfcfiles.dll is working btw (has probably been mentionned before but there's 9 page of topics and i'm lazy) -
I add them to nlite's remove box and it's alright. But I lose activation of course (or I think I do ).

Yet Another XP Mod - yAXM Project

Instructions (hfslip, nlite) plus a dowload for WIHU. I've managed to get proper video playback, even streaming, even inside IE (1). I've also managed to get a laptop boot in less than 25 seconds. My install scripts will detect your language and only install the corresponding files to ensure no space is lost. Most things are compressed with 7zip and usually don't require any reg entries : easy install and uninstall. I intend to have something both newbs and advanced users could play with : you can download the files, run hfslip, nlite, add wihu and burn or you can download the files you want, run hfslip, change what you want in nlite, add wihu with only the files you need, change infos, locations... I forgot to mention something : I usually have "Programs" instead of "Program Files" and "DocsSettings" instead of "Documents And Settings" : there are still lots of programs which don't like spaces (windows itself will tell you if you create a folder named "Program" (without the ending 's') at the root of your drive and restart). Apps are sorted inside %ProgramFiles% which makes everything easier to find. Of course, everybody doesn't like that. That's why I added a file called params.ini : [Main] lang=fr [Paths] 7zip=%ProgramFiles%\7-Zip alcohol=%ProgramFiles%\%Burn% burrrn=%ProgramFiles%\%Burn%\Burrrn ccleaner=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\CCleaner cdbxp=%ProgramFiles%\%Burn%\CDBurnerXP deepburner=%ProgramFiles%\%Burn%\DeepBurner devcpp=%ProgramFiles%\%Programmation%\Dev-Cpp fdm=%ProgramFiles%\%Transfers%\FDM ffdshow=%ProgramFiles%\%Multimedia%\ffdshow gspot=%ProgramFiles%\%Multimedia%\GSpot irfanview=%ProgramFiles%\%Multimedia%\IrfanView jv16=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\jv16 mpc=%ProgramFiles%\%Multimedia%\MPC mplayer=%ProgramFiles%\%Multimedia%\MPlayer nod32=%ProgramFiles%\%Security%\NOD32 npp= %ProgramFiles%\%Programmation%\Notepad++ nvu=%ProgramFiles%\Nvu oodefrag=%ProgramFiles%\O&ODefrag qtlite=%ProgramFiles%\%Multimedia%\QTLite wmlite=%ProgramFiles%\%Multimedia%\WMLite speedfan=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\Speedfan spf=%ProgramFiles%\%Security%\SPF spybot=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\SpybotS&D supercopier=%ProgramFiles%\%Transfers%\Supercopier unlocker=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\Unlocker uTool=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\uTool eac=%ProgramFiles%\%Burn%\EAC pagedfrg=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\PageDefrag nvu=%ProgramFiles%\nvu reshack=%ProgramFiles%\ResHacker winhttrack=%ProgramFiles%\WinHTTrack a43=%ProgramFiles%\%FExplorers%\a43 BiExploreur=%ProgramFiles%\%FExplorers%\Bi-Exploreur DualXplorer=%ProgramFiles%\%FExplorers%\DualXplorer TrackerV3=%ProgramFiles%\%FExplorers%\TrackerV3 FoxIt=%ProgramFiles%\FoxIt Bilderman=%ProgramFiles%\%Multimedia%\Bilderman Printkey=%ProgramFiles%\%Multimedia%\Printkey CodecSniper=%ProgramFiles%\%Multimedia%\ FF=%ProgramFiles%\%Browsers%\Firefox maxthon=%ProgramFiles%\%Browsers%\Maxthon opera=%ProgramFiles%\%Browsers%\Opera Sharpnet=%ProgramFiles%\%Browsers%\Sharpnet KMeleon=%ProgramFiles%\%Browsers%\K-Meleon DrTCP=%ProgramFiles%\%Network%\DrTCP nmap=%ProgramFiles%\%Network%\nmap putty=%ProgramFiles%\%Network%\putty fzilla=%ProgramFiles%\%Transfers%\FileZilla FTPServer=%ProgramFiles%\%Transfers%\FTPServer CACHESET=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\djique\CACHESET Contig=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\djique\Contig MoveFile=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\djique\MoveFile ADSSPY=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\ADS\ADSSPY KLStreamRemover=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\ADS\KLStreamRemover Streams=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\ADS\Streams Autoruns=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\Autoruns CPUZ=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\CPU-Z Everest=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\Everest fmon=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\Filemon GameXP=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\GameXP LaunchServ=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\LaunchServ NTRegOpt=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\NTRegOpt pexp=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\Process Explorer pserv=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\ pstools=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\PsTools rmon=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\Regmon HijackThis=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\HijackThis Spybot=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\SpybotS&D BScreen=%windir%\SYSTEM32 TCPView=%ProgramFiles%\%Tweak%\TCPView [Dirs] Browsers=Navigateurs Burn=Gravure FExplorers=Explorateurs Multimedia=Multimédia Network=Réseau Programmation=Programmation Security=Sécurité Transfers=Transferts Tweak=Tweak [sys] ;used only during installation 7z=%Dir%\7za.exe StartMenu=Menu Démarrer StartMenuPrograms=Programmes Every single location can be changed using this file (it's easier to read with syntax-highlighting...). This also gives you an idea of how many softwares are installable. (1) surprisingly(2), WMP breaks this! (2) considering what WMP is, it may not be so surprising. -
You should also do an image right now, before trying to uninstall NAV.

ok :S So next time I can remove the driver from my windows xp source and everything will work? I did not understand how it could change anything. I think I got it : this is probably installed as a filter driver. If you delete a filter driver without removing the corresponding entries in the registry. Search for "filter driver" in [ur=http://www.sysinternals.com/blog/2005/10/sony-rootkits-and-digital-rights.html]this page, take a look at the picts and you will see imapi. (IMO there may be a related file/entry to delete) And IMAPI seems to be only related to burning by MS : IMAPI Image Mastering API (Microsoft) @Clint, I know some of these topics and it's sometimes easy to get a bit lost. among others -> http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=52357
