  1. Make sure you have Q273017. (I believe it's Q273017)
  2. But it appeared to suddenly get worse. I didn't recall getting pop-ups before, especially there being a pop-up that actually seems to be triggered everytime I close the browser window with imageshack.us in the browser window.
  3. Geez I sure hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised for as much use as it's had. I ran Seagate's tool that extensively checks the drive and it came up with no errors...though i'm not sure I can take it's word for it or not. It could be just Windows. It appears that it's time to test for stability again. The motherboard may be going bad.
  4. Your pagefile may not be big enough. (but usually only if it was very small, like if you set it under 32 MB)
  5. Does this only occur when installing third party drivers? If true and SP2 was slipstreamed, there appears to be no workaround. (except for disabling WFP) Sorry.
  6. Sounds like there's likely HDD corruption. Thus you're probably required to reformat the HDD then reinstall Windows after backing up some stuff to another HDD. Sorry.
  7. That BSOD don't look like a bootloader problem. It's probably when the GUI is supposed to load for the first time.
  8. FYI, Windows 98 support hasn't ended yet, AFAIK. I believe that it won't stop until late June.
  9. Imageshack.us just turned into a jerk-ran web site!! Imageshack.us sucks, because it randomly deleted or shrunk images that I uploaded for no apparent reason!! I just checked the TOS and nothing I could find talks about automatically deleting images after inactivity. I also started getting pop-ups. I started getting pop-ups that apparently circumvent Mozilla Firefox's pop-up blocker!!
  10. Does it affect your account? This reminds me of the fighting over desktop preferences bull back in the Windows 3x days. LOL!!
  11. Unless you're talking about how much RAM one process can consume, I don't believe there's any 1 GB limitation, unless it's Windows 9x. Windows 9x, according to Microsoft only supports 1 GB of RAM. I never heard of a 1 GB limitation with Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP until today!!
  12. Error 404 The file don't exist at sourceforge.net.
  13. Your web page is missing!!
  14. All versions of Windows starting with Windows 2000 require entry of a 25-digit product key. This isn't related to Windows Product Activation, which only exists in Windows XP 2002 and later nor has it have to do with an "upgrade" version of Windows. The "full" version requires a 25-digit product key, too!! That's printed on the package or CD.
  15. That error message is from Windows. Windows isn't happy about something with Macromedia Projector. It means that it crashed. Please check the event log. There's probably a DrWatson error report in the event log. That can occur if the CD drive is having an issue.
  16. I dunno about that, because if people know the IP address, then they can get around that!!
  17. I never had that problem. But before getting another US Robotics 5699B modem, after a T-storm, a US Robotics 5699B I had acted possessed, Windows all of a sudden would most of the time say "There was no dial tone" or similar and refuse to even dial, even when the telephone line was fine and after reinstalling Windows!! Then sometimes, it will dial and Windows says that it's connected, but all of the web browsers fail to find any web site, no matter what!! Obviously, that was because the modem got damaged by a spike. That was the only time that I ever had Windows refuse to dial with a US Robotics 5699B modem.
  18. Welp, it appears that an ISP not that far from where I live offers 24 Mb DSL!
  19. The partition probably got corrupted. Please delete the partition, recreate the partition, format it and try again.
  20. It appears that the permissions got messed up. You're probably required to reinstall Windows. Sorry.
  21. I usually only get a WFP pop up if I install third party drivers. If you click "Cancel", it's fine.
  22. Probably in PIO mode, make sure that it's in UDMA mode and try again.
  23. With games, there seems to rarely be any problem. It's mostly non-game applications that have problems if any. More likely with firewall software. The MSI installer of Sygate Personal Firewall will refuse to install if it detects that Internet Explorer don't exist. Likely the same with Zone Alarm. The solution is to use SoftPerfect Personal Firewall or Kerio Personal Firewall 4.1.3 or earlier. Also, warning, stay away from Comodo Personal Firewall. The installer installs it, but will give you errors on launch when Internet Explorer don't exist. Comodo Personal Firewall appears to 100 percent require Internet Explorer!! Even Sygate didn't error on launch after installing it when Internet Explorer don't exist, as long as you can get past the MSI installer check.
  24. I just was wondering, because the last time I saw that message, it would do that for a long time. It turned out that someone put it in maintenance mode, because of a software or hardware malfunction. That sucks. If it's the same server hardware, it's likely unstable. You know how hardware can be sometimes. One moment it works properly then all of a sudden it malfunctions again.
  25. When I wanted to come to the message board, it was in maintenance mode again!! Is the server messed up? I thought that it was fixed months ago!! This is deja vu. Is the server gonna be required to get replaced again?
