  1. Can you please tell me the name of the Theme/Skin!? Thanks
  2. Well, you could buy a WindowsXP Profissional CD and then "customize it" in you own way. Since you only have a Restore CD dont know what you can do except buying a XP CD.
  3. Well, I dont think it can be because of the CAT limit. However, from what you have said, why dont you make a new UA XP CD with RyanVM lastest pack (1.2.2b) slipstreamed and thn just download the updates from July and August. If you dont to use RyanVM pack, just use Astalavista pack. It is completly updated. Just go to the link on my sig.

    Favorite Method

I just used AutoPatcher today for the first time. On my GF computer. Everything worked fine and I really like it. What I think about the 2 methods is... RyanVM - Perfect for integrating on XP installation disk. AutoPatcher - Perfect for already installed XPs.
  5. From what ive read, the problem here is not WGA. If it is, let us know ... A problem related to Catalogs can be something missing where it indicates what needs to be installed. Have you removed anything with nLite? If you did, attach you last session. Where you able to install updates with that current XP installation before? Cya buddy!

@ dman - Sorry. I didnt even knew about that method. Decided to go with these 2 because they're the most used ones. I prefer RyanVM. Doing a clean install with all the hotfixes slipstreamed is much better. But since RyanVM has his wedding and everything, and I had to get GF computer running, decided to use AutoPatcher.
  7. Guys, wich one is you favorite? I know that Autopatcher can not be slipstreamed and that RyanVM cannot be installed after WindowsXP installation. Ignoring this, which one do you prefer? Installing AutoPatacher after XP installation or slipstreaming RyanVM pack for Unattended install?
  8. LLLOOOOLLLLL Just great!!!

    2 little tips

Thank you. What I want is the Start /wait syntax with some kind of timer. Not using any .EXE to do it.

    2 little tips

Guys ... I need something that, when the .CMD file is executed, it stays "on pause" for 3 minutes. The last thing is... Does the restart command with timer supports 24h? (Dont know how many seconds)?
  11. Just do a complete format to the HDD where u installed Vista

  13. Hehehe! Nice... Thanks!
  14. Ok. Im moving out from my parents house. Ill leave a computer running (server) who will be ON a long periods of time. Months problably. I will make a batch file for it to restart after 24h of uptime. Will it damage the computer? Not turning off (complety) the for a long period of time? Will just the reboots be enough? Thanks all! PS: I have a nice refrigeration on the computer.
  15. I also bought a linksys. WRT54GS. First of all, I would recommend updating ur firmware (If it isnt the last one already) Firmware Page Then, Im not really undestanding what ur asking to be done, however, I can try helping by telling what I did with my "server" computer. --------- I have ADSL modem, sharing the internet connection with 2 LAN cards. 1st card - Is hooked up to a switch that "powers" internet to the computers on my desk. Threw a cable with RJ45 2nd card - Hooked up to my Router (WRT54GS) that gives internet to the laptops of the house. -------- Sorry if I couldnt help!
  16. Congrats RyanVM
  17. Yes. Just extract the .7z files into a folder with these options set and after extracting everything to the folder, burn it into a DVD. U can also update ur folder by deleting the folder of the driverpack u want to update and extracting the new .7z to that same folder. (The one with all the Drivers) Sorry. Dont really understand ur question. My bad ... But I think ur asking if I have to manually select each device and search for the drivers on the DVD. Right?
  18. I did. For 2 years. But it somehow transformed from a funny weekend sport to some heavy competetion where everyone just started insulting and screaming at themselfs, so I just quit. Fun times tho. Voted No!
  19. From sanx.org: To remove the adverts from MSN Messenger 7.0: 1. If MSN Messenger 7.0 is running, shut it down. 2. Browse the the location Messenger is installed to. The default is: \Program Files\MSN Messenger 3. Make a back-up of the Messenger executable - msnmsgr.exe. 4. Open Visual Studio.Net 2003. 5. From the File menu, choose the Open option and select File. 6. Browse to the Messenger installation directory and select msnmsgr.exe. Within Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, you will need to open the executable as a resource file. 7. Once the file has been opened, select "UIFILE" from the tree view, then open object 923. 8. Once opened, object 923 will be displayed in two columns: hex and text. Click on the text column, and press Ctrl-A to select the entire contents. 9. Press Ctrl-C to copy the contents to the clipboard. 10. Open Notepad or another similar text editor and paste the contents into the editing window. 11. Remove the following section of text which can be found between lines 1937 and 1958 inclusive: <element layoutpos=top layout=verticalflowlayout(0,2,2,2) padding=rect(2,0,3,2)> <element id=atom(adbannercontainer) layout=filllayout() borderthickness=rect(1,1,1,1) > <element id=atom(msnlogo) layout=filllayout() > <element width=234 height=60/> <clipperh layoutpos=right> <png flip=false layoutpos=right isbackground=false colorize=Disabled ImageEncoding=imageGIF idres=ifhc(0,415) contentalign=middleright background=argb(0,0,0,0)/> </clipperh> </element> <adbrowser id=atom(adbrowser) width=234 height=60 layoutpos=none DefaultADTimerMS=5000 bordercolor=ifhc(buttonshadow, rgb(100,122,172)) DLControl=dlctlNoActiveX DocHostUIFlags=dhUIscrollno | dhUIopennewwin | dhUIno3dborder | dhUIactivateclienthitonly /> </element> 12. Press Ctrl-A to select the entire contents, then Ctrl-C to copy it to the cliboard. 13. Within Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2003, press Ctrl-V to paste the edited contents over the existing contents of object 923. 14. Save the edited msnmsgr.exe. I thought about posting it on software hangout! Dont know ... feel free to move it mods or admins.
