Sorry to here this. It reminds me of my dog I lost last year. I had Toby for 15 years. He got parvo as a puppy. I would give him 5 cc of gatorade every 30 minutes. I almost lost him then. He won the battle with parvo and was my constant companion and protector for 15 years. At 14 pounds 1/2 poodle and 1/2 beagle he was more dog tah other dogs 10 times his size. He knew my moods and would cheer me up when blue and share in my good times. He died to kidney failure last year and I still miss him. It will be hard for you to loose a loved one. Nothing I or anyone else can say to ease the pain. I am sorry you lost your friend.

A burn in is very simular to breaking in a brand new car. You cant hot rod one right away. It is a good idea to have a 24 hour burn in on a new computer.

All kidding aside I find that car polish will get the job done so you can make a copy. If you drink three or four glasses of Absolute vodka BEFORE trying polishing a CD the whatever is in your mouth will be VERY like Alcohol, .....but you would probably lose interest in the actual CD polishing.... jaclaz I tried this. Well I didnt even care about the cd LOL

I got a file which is a multi-part rar. When I try to unrar it goes to about 88% and I get error message saying fat32 only supports up to 4 gb. Unrared size of this is about 4.5 gb. I am running xp with fat32. HD is 160 gb. 1024 mb ram. Is there a way to unrar this in fat32? If not can I convert to NTFS without loosing anything?

I tested Clints XP and 2k3 both are excellent. I am still using his xp as my main OS and has taken everything I have thrown at it. It has been on here about a year now I have only rebooted about 5 or 6 times, then only because of installing software. I have the 2k3 installed on an old HP. 600 mhz, 64 mb ram. It has been running about 6 months without reboot which is amazing cause it is a knock around computer for kids to play games on. Kids cant make this OS stop working. His 2k I could imagine would bring new life to computers which was doomed to computer heaven.

I have tried both Nero 6 and Nero 7 to burn the same video file to DVD. Nero 7 sux. It burned perfectly in Nero 6 and with Nero 7 I got a buffer overflow error. I repeated my experiment-same-. Conclusion stay with Nero 6

I can get ROS to work but not by default. It is a cool, clean shell which I like very much. The best part is it uses much less ram than explorer.exe. Anybody had much sucess of getting this to install by default?

I must admit this would defenitly be very cool. I will let you guys in on a secret if you promise not to tell. OK I dont know how to get the ROS explorer to work, SHHHH But if someone did get it to work on install this would definatly bring new life to legecy computers before they go to computer heaven.

If its a leget VLK just use that one for all. There are 10 files which are different between the 2. No need to ask which ones because this has been asked hundreds of times.
