the error appears for me in both situations: normal install xp+ wmp10 and nlited xp + slipstreamer. and also combinations of this two. so i think is wmp 10 bug.

dude nlite is still in beta . so still have bugs. nuhi is working hard to fix it so we have to wait for the next release.

ok so i installed xp using a vlk xp with sp2. in rest nothing slipstreamed or removed. then installed wmp10 just downloaded from m$. start wmp and click update button. it did not report any updates. then closed wmp and i just restarted wmp . click update buuton and update found. so i dont think is registry settings or other stuff. i did not use wmp slipstreamer or anything else. i said is ONLY from microsoft.

@LaptoniC can u try again with update? because i did it and still the same problem...

is very hard to say. maybe u do something wrong as long as it can be nlite or ryan's pack. from my experience is good to start over just to avoid errors.

well but i am not sure what version of wmp10 is in windows 2003.....

i don't see the use of the progress bar as long as the slipstream proccess is short.

u can borrow a xp cd from somebody and try a repair or u can do a fresh install.

is simple xp is working slower cause u have all visual effects on. u need some tweak program to help u with improving speed on your xp.

i suppose that u did the internet activation...well u can only activate over internet just for 3 times. then it says what u saw. so the only thing u can do is to call microsoft and activate via phone.
