  1. For me, 8.1 is similarly fast to 7, but slower than 8.0.
  2. He is probably talking about hex code, from the code what he would get from IDA would not build a browser.
  3. I know
  4. I wonder how many years (or maybe decades) will pass before VxKex actually makes it possible to at least run Chromium 110+. Already Vista x64 with extended kernel is now a much better option (although unfortunately not on my second computer) You have a like from me, because I 100% agree with you, I already prefer spying by big corporations than by some individual programmer, because it can have worse consequences.
  5. Install FF 102 ESR, Opera is heavy and will load your computer at startup.
  6. Perhaps @NotHereToPlayGames will do something about it in the future, because he already has experience in this
  7. They simply forgot to add the appropriate information.
  8. Link not working... Means works, but you have to copy it
  9. BTW SetProcessMitigationPolicy -> SetProcessAffinityMask GetProcessMitigationPolicy -> GetProcessAffinityMask SetThreadInformation -> SetThreadAffinityMask PrefetchVirtualMemory -> VirtualAlloc All missing imports from userenv.dll -> CreateEnvironmentBlock or DestroyEnvironmentBlock. This is enough to run Chromium 110 without sandbox on Windows 7.
  10. Redirect locally the userenv.dll and kernel32.dl files from the March 6 version.
  11. Some applications don't work as they should, because the WOW64 subsystem was not yet perfected.
  12. I recently came up with the idea of building a Windows 98 SE computer from parts I have. I'd like to use 1GB of DDR2 RAM (I can allocate 256MB for the integrated graphics card if that's a problem), a Gigabyte GA-EG41MF-US2H or Asus P5G41C-M LX motherboard, an integrated graphics chip and an Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140 1.6GHz processor. Am I able to find the necessary drivers for such a setup? Thanks for the answers.
  13. Hi. I would like to install Vista x64 with extended kernel on the laptop whose model is in the topic. However, from what I remember, on these chipsets USB 3.0 will work as 2.0. Have any modified drivers or something like that been created? Thanks.
  14. Unfortunately, these versions do not work. But 1.16/1.17 should.
  15. So that is what I thought was right. Thanks.
  16. If Spotify is open-source yes. But I'm not sure about that. If not, I can at most help with a manual patch in CFF Explorer.
  17. I recently compared: Windows 10 1511 vs 22H2, LTSB 1607 vs 21H2, and Windows 8.1 (Update 3) vs Windows 7 (SP1). I even stayed on the main computer with Windows 7. I could also use version 8.0.
  18. As I wrote in another topic, I managed to get it working BTW I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the latest version of VS Code works.
  19. Thanks for the kind words - although it was @D.Draker who once told my friend who ran away from the forum what features to replace in Windows 7, he also deserves thanks.
  20. @yoltboy01 I made it! Even on Windows 7, although I had to swap a fair amount of functions. On Windows 8.1, in the libcef.dll file, replace the missing imports from NETAPI32 with NetGetJoinInformation. And add --no-sandbox of course
  21. Don't do it this way, it has to end like this.... Name that netapi32 as netapi33, copy it to system32 and rename the import in CFF Explorer. I know I can copy from Windows 10, but it will be a while before I install it on VM and download Spotify.
  22. netapi32 from Windows 10 is likely to be able to run on Windows 8.1, as there are no missing dependencies besides the two missing files. I can check it, but please send me this zipped version of Spotify to bypass the Win10+ installer.
  23. From what I remember you said that Vista x64 was never very stable for you, and now the return from Windows 7 is precisely to it?
  24. D.Draker mentioned in another thread about a rare 373 driver that supposedly can be run even on Vista x86. The problem is that I only found a version for Win 10.... Is this version also suitable for that?
  25. Is there any way to use GTX 1050 2GB on GP107 core in Windows Vista x86 without extended kernel? Unfortunately but x64 will not work properly on my Kaby Lake computer.
