  1. if you run XP from a virtual machine or it's not your primary system that's the best turnaround for most users @Ryder252 that way you don't bother downloading updates the NET framework AIO is safe to use though
  2. I also removed this one the decision took me 1 minute. https://www.escanav.com/en/mwav-tools/download-free-antivirus-toolkit.asp any program without clear type fonts is an insult for me.
  3. bye bye. I have already deleted the crap PANDA DOME. the user interface looks terrible to my eyes with sliding hidden menus and awuful visual style, this is one out of many reasons why I hate the modern Windows editions. it's slower overall whether scanning files or launching the program than is AVAST I have a folder on the desktop with 8 malicious files (they are not false positives) all them flagged by AVAST but this PANDA DOME did only spot 1 out of 8 more, I have another folder with a virus and this PANDA DOME showed it was moved into the virus chest which is not true. more, if you restore a file from the virus chest PANDA DOME will not flag it over again because it will be seen as a clean file which is not true more, I restarted the computer and to my surprise the virus chest got wiped out for no apparent reason. more, the report log displays ''unknown name'' so it's not even able to tell the name of the suspicious detected trojans. the only plus side of PANDA DOME is that it allows you to fully disable it to prevent any service from loading on startup, this is not possible with AVAST long story short short I don't recommend the crap PANDA DOME to anyone a recent review claimed BIT DEFENDER to be the best scoring AV and AVAST in second place but it doesn't support XP anymore unfortunately
  4. I like BRAVE because it's against intrusive advertising whereas other browsers don't allow me to install ublock origin or alike. thanks for the advise I will check it out later on.
  5. you can't install chrome extensions on Android browsers. I very rarely surf the web with a phone though.
  6. I removed it forever. I came across this issue because it's no longer compatible otherwise it would go unnoticed. ublock origin + privacy badger combined (default settings) can score up to 86% https://d3ward.github.io/toolz/adblock.html
  7. you can't perform this on the smartphone unless you install a custom Android build.
  8. if you read the permissions of most extensions, they mostly ask to ''read and change all your data on the website you visit'' I could not imagine they were actually sniffing around and sending one's data somewhere back. as long as they don't get to steal my saved passwords I am not concerned about privacy.
  9. this is quite frustrating. if one doesn't accept the terms it won't work if you download it from the chrome store you don't get this privacy policy agreement window so I want to guess any other chrome extension is sending data back without requesting for permissions. @VistaLover
  10. I can't be helpful with your particular issue.... this is the non-webGL version https://msfn.org/board/topic/184515-arcticfoxienotheretoplaygames-360chrome-v1351030-rebuild-8/page/2/#comment-1240955
  11. Ghostery is up for download on the chrome store but the latest release 8.9.9 is missing the main buttons so it bacame unusable. if using the developer mode 8.9.8 it will report a source code error
  12. I only use the ''developer mode'' for two extensions that can't be downloaded straight from chrome store anymore which is not the case (for now...) for ublock origin 1.4.7
  13. the Mini Browser looks like the brother of the following one which is pretty unstable https://msfn.org/board/topic/184266-arcticfoxienotheretoplaygames-360chrome-v1351030-rebuild-7/page/22/#comment-1239460
  14. why Mini Browser ? do you feel it's faster or do you just like the settings layout better ?
  15. this finding saved me a lot of time and stress as you know when a folder name is way too long you can't remove it but this time the reported error window was somewhat different and I couldn't imagine that could be the actual cause. when you unzip the rebuild 7 you get into the root folder, unlike the rebuild 8 which has an unnecessary additional folder in between I have downloaded the rebuild 8 files onto the desktop which turn the address bar names much longer if I move the rebuild 8 files to the C: root folder this problem won't arise.
  16. the maps now work perfect on either webGL disabled or enabled https://msfn.org/board/topic/182876-360-extreme-explorer-modified-version/page/121/#comment-1240719 360ChromePortable_13.5.1030_r8_regular_webgl-disabled_translate-enabled_win-10-skin
  17. this is driving me crazy.... every time the browser crashes I have to delete the registry 360/360chrome key and unzip the rar folder over gain to ensure there's no footprint along the way I started using the #6 chrome dll with no luck except for one time. then while trying to delete the browser folder, Windows reported an error window not allowing me to delete it due to ''swiftshader'' file I performed a quick scan with Hitman Pro 3.8 and it turns out the 360 loader of all rebuild 8 folders was infected or suspicious I restarted the computer with the aim of testing this on another clean partition. the same problem *swiftshader* still arises so I have to rename the two main browser folders with a single letter to able to delete them. while trying the #5 chrome dll I found out the possible issue.... the name of the two main folders combined is way to long !!!! now the browsers work as expected with the stock chrome dll if I ''shrink down'' the folders name
  18. webGL is disabled by default on Centaury browser. despite this the maps work well with it.
  19. [CONFIRMED] none of the regular versions works here as they all trigger Dr.Watson before you ask I tried them all on a third clean partition one by one. I will stick with the rebuild 7 until it finally settles down.
  20. doesn't work with S52 (it's not up to date) however it loads perfect with Centaury which is much older.
