“Be mindful. Be grateful. Be positive. Be true. Be kind.”
D.Draker replied to XPerceniol's topic in Funny Farm
Greetings, AstroSkipper ! You can't even imagine how pleasant it is to receive these well wishes from A Frisian ! Yes, I was just browsing through the unread posts and saw you're a Frisian ! I couldn't beleive my eyes ! I hope my mind wasn't playing tricks with me . I mean , you're so great ! Frisians are an iconic nation. Wise, ancient and very rare to meet these days . I read quite a lot about them and was always so fascinated ! It doesn't matter what age you are , you're too valuable to be sent to that meat grinder . Though, it'd be a great honour to serve under your command , and you must be a general , at least . No wonder your English is so perfect ! Frisian and English are very closely related. -
Well , I figured out what's at fault here . It's the newly released shell32.dll . If I replace it with the version from the kernel released on 26.10.2021, all is back to normal. So I can use the newest kernel32 alond with the old shell (file date stamp is 05 December 2020) and all is fine in this case . Any chance this could be looked into ? Sorry for too many questions.

I'm aware of that , thanks . What I meant is I never needed to add any 3rd party drivers for newer Nvidia drivers to work , apart from the Vista default ones. But then again , it depends on ones hardware , I guess.

Also , what did you do to the DX diagnostins so it finally reports the right amount of VRAM ? Mine still says I have 2.5GB of VRAM on a 12GB card , lol. I even have some games run into troubles . They simply won't utilize more than the amount which is reported by the DX tool.

Hi , interesting , do you mind me asking, is there a benefit in using 373.06 over the 377.83 from my tutorial ? I mean , this one's much older . Perhaps better FPS ? Anyways , I don't mind to try ! What "timer driver" and where to downlaod it ? Instructions on how to install that driver ? Thanks. P.S. I'm curious why do we need a timer driver for Nvidia drivers ? Yes , I read they may have timing troubles after 347.88 on certain systems . Is this the reason ? And I'm assuming it works only with the ex-kernel installed.

Hi all , I'm taking a break and back home for now (due an injury) , but I'll survive and get back when the weather cools down. It's nothing serious , it's more annoying than dangerous. All I can say , the situation there got much worse and they need our help . There will be a special place in hell for those "people" and nations who defended Russia or even just stood passive at their side. So I'm definitely going back. A good thing I can still play games. Hope all of you are well too ! -

Hello , @AstroSkipper , thanks for the well thought and nicely worded wishes ! I always admired Germany and the Germans . Kind, polite, well educated people with clear goals . I'm aware we aren't allowed to talk about wars here, but I can tell about my childhood "dream". In that dream (my worst nighmare) , I'm riding an Sd.Kfz. 8 mit FLAK 18, yes only riding, not shooting, and the reds are all around and I can't do anything about it, because I'm only a driver. They keep filling in onto the streets of this wonderful German city out of everywhere, and I'm helpless, I'm trying to scream , but the Sd.Kfz.8 crew is not respoding , that was actually a very traumatic experience . So lets just say I'm going there so we can have peace in Germany , France , Benelux and the rest of Europe. And take a bit of revenge for the battle of Berlin, of course. P.S. Yes, I know FLAK 18 is anti-aircraft (not anti-zombie) , but it was a dream. -
Hmmm ... weird , for me the 2020 kernel worked absolutely fine . Could it have something to do with the mobo ? I even tried another (new) HDD . But unfortunately, I'm afraid I won't be able to test on another mobo because I'll be off soon.

The topic says "be true" , right ? The truth is not always pleasant , and these are just facts . We need to protect our homes , and not be afraid. -

Hey , what happened to the glorious French conquerors ? Do you miss the times when we had Vietnam ? Also , how many Frenchmen they had slaughtered ? Well , I'm not going to just forgive and forget . -

That's exactly what the russkies expect us to do , also we need to tremble in fear . LOL. Not with me. -

Thank you all for your support and the kind words , I'm a simple guy who enjoys simple things in life , but also a romantic ( a bit ) , so I still hope the better days will come when we have less commies on our dear earth. -

I prefer not having the front lines near my house , so better to strike hard while it is still there . I survived after the first time and hope I shall survive this one too. I'm already half deaf from my old military days and the last voyage. I'm with a terrible tinnitus also , so ... All my life I knew the russians were terrible (can't use stronger words due to the website policy), I always knew who they really are, partly from the stories from my relativers who fought them in WW2, but most importantly , I always felt it with my heart and now when they proved it for 100 centuries ahead , I just can't miss such a good opportunity , even If I know it's too risky. P.S. Yes , I wrote reduce , we still need some of them left for our military complex , training , making money , etc. -

I'm sorry my friend , I'm not religious , like many folks in Europe. As for the money , I don't have much . I now only have enough cash to purchase the tickets and some gear (yeah , it's expensive , it's not WW1) lol. The gear from the first time is almost unusable . Also , I'm sure you understand it's not official . No French gov. involved . So this will be my donation . My skills and the gear . -

My parents are almost in the dementia state , they are very old , like very-very old, and I live alone far away from them. We only talk over the phone from time to time , like "hey , how are you , bye". A girlfrined ? Well I sorta have it . But there's no feelings between us, so not a big deal. She is an ex-model, I'm sure she'll find her way . I wrote a letter so she could donate my things if I'm not back . A big question what to do with my quite expensive flat in Vichy , though. But hey , I hope I'm back , so no dark thoughts. -
Thanks for the reply , I tried both ways . And yes , I still prefer the redirecting variant . BTW , the extensions work just fine (saving settings, finally), though I never had problems with cookies, as you wrote. All that weirdness started to happen when I modded a lot of drivers and tested each of them , like really a lot (install/reinstall) , so I assumed I need to do a clean install , but no , all the same . I also upgraded my BIOS , thought it would be better (but downgraded again) before the clean install. Why ? I coldn't install any 32-bit OS on it , but that's another story . Today I tried to update my x64 Vista to 04.2019 level , but the issue is still there. This time I only redirected .

Hi , it seems I missed too much to catch up ! Sorry, I was at the training camp . I couldn't stand the temptation to reduce the reds and going to protect Ukraine for the 2nd time. Looks like a standard 2 months shift again , at least what I was told yesterday. @msfntor , @XPerceniol , @Rod Steel,@sunryze , @mina7601 . Wish you all the best , all of you , only the best ! If I disappear , means I'm gone , please keep only the best memories of me . I'm sorry If I was too tough on you at some times. Now's the time we need to remember only the good things we had . Sorry I didn't mention everyone , just don't want to disturb . -
Hi , it seems I missed such splendid news ! I was at the training camp. Returned, and still having the issue I described here earlier . Today I reinstalled the system from scratch , this time even without the Nvidia drivers at all. None of the programmes that rely on the kernel can't summon the "save as" or "open file" dialog. What happens ? Nothing , just one blink , yes the "close" [x] blinks when I try to click "save as", let's say in chrome for example. Others (non ex-kernel) work just fine. I have the required update windows6.0-kb4474419-v4-x64 installed, along with net 4.5. BTW , Mortal Kombat 11 still won't start , it says it wants GetThreadErrorMode.
-
No , it depends on the mobo . It may very well be even 4GB (3.89 in my case), but I'm sure you know this kernel won't work with any 32 bit OS.

[BREAKTHROUGH] NEW Nvidia drivers ported to Vista. Tutorial.
D.Draker replied to D.Draker's topic in Windows Vista
Thanks, only if it won't take much time , I don't want to distract you . I can live with my custom themes just fine . But the latest drivers I tried , don't seem to be stable with them . I just don't write everything here , but I continue to try the newer drivers and then test, test and test. So I'll wait for your results with 382.16. It's more important now.- 85 replies

Having that japanese name , how good is your friend with English ? Most of the files have self-explanatory names and/or easy to google. I mean , I can help , but you gotta do the legwork yourself. This is a sound file , not a video driver. https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/analysis-radeon-software-adrenalin-edition-driver-december-2017.418419/
