  1. New Moon (palemoon-28.10.7a1.win64-git-20230701) crashes on Vista 64bit... VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found Previous version worked. [Edit] Never mind. I had to install additional runtimes (took the last Vista AIO repack from Abbodi)
  2. Web Archive has all 4.3.12 flavours : https://archive.org/details/paintdotnet_v4_3_12.
  3. (offtopic) Possibly due to recent changes in YouTube's site code? Maybe try with the latest versions of youtube-dl or yt-dlp, optionally with the help of the legacy "Open With" extension. Direct link to legacy XUL version: https://ca-archive.us.to/storage/11/11097/open_with-6.8.6-fx+sm+tb.xpi Screenshot.
  4. Oh..., I thought you were asking about Ungoogled Chromium. (See under"Windows 8.1, 8, 7, XP, Vista... and old versions") My instructions only apply to that browser. The last stable version for Windows 7 is 109.0.5414.120 https://github.com/macchrome/winchrome/releases/tag/v109.5414.120-M109.0.5414.120-r1070088-Win64 360chrome is something completely different and I have no experience with it.
  5. (offtopic) Use the "chromium-web-store" extension. (Read the Readme.md first) However note, that Chromium 109 is the last version that supports Windows 7, so you'll be exposed to security vulnerabilities! Search engines here: chrome://settings/searchEngines
  6. Rather nasty bug in youtube-dl today, but it is fixed now. Link in signature, as always. ERROR: Signature extraction failed, KeyError QV (YouTube changed something again )
  7. May I ask where you got that Vista32 compatible FFmpeg from? A Google search only gives 1 result; your issue at GitHub. Searching further, I only found the venomissimo site, but the version you use is not there (at least I couldn't see it).
  8. Don't give them any ideas, though I doubt they follow this thread. FWIW, I can now also provide Py3.9 builds for XP and upward, thanks to the release @cmalex kindly provided some time ago. Here is a build for you to test, if you wish (updated regularly). This is what it gives on Vista: [debug] Command-line config: ['-v', '--ignore-config'] [debug] Encodings: locale cp1252, fs utf-8, pref cp1252, out cp1252 (No VT), error cp1252 (No VT), screen cp1252 (No VT) [debug] yt-dlp version nightly@2023.10.15 [4e38e2ae9] (win_x86_exe) [debug] Python 3.9.13 (CPython AMD64 32bit) - Windows-Vista-6.0.6003-SP2 (OpenSSL 3.1.0-dev ) [debug] exe versions: ffmpeg N-110472-g4006c71-Reino (setts), ffprobe N-110472-g4006c71-Reino, phantomjs 2.1.1 [debug] Optional libraries: Cryptodome-3.19.0, brotli-1.1.0, certifi-2023.07.22, mutagen-1.47.0, requests-2.31.0, sqlite3-3.37.2, urllib3-2.0.6, websockets-11.0.3 [debug] Proxy map: {} [debug] Request Handlers: urllib, requests [debug] Loaded 1890 extractors Usage: yt-dlp [OPTIONS] URL [URL...] yt-dlp: error: You must provide at least one URL. Type yt-dlp --help to see a list of all options.
  9. Noticed that yesterday. Rebuilt, just to be sure.
  10. [YouTube] Important fix for yt-dlp: [jsinterp] Fix division (#7279) * Fixes nsig decryption for Youtube JS player `8c7583ff` Thanks @VistaLover for reporting. 👍️ [Edit] Fixed youtube-dl as well (applied diff by @bashonly)
  11. So far, the xp_activate32.exe program supports Windows XP Home Edition and Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 Enterprise. [Edit] I'm not sure about that. Others claim it worked on Pro.
  12. https://tinyapps.org/blog/202304230700_xp_wpa.html
  13. That's about it at the moment. (I mentioned the others in this GitHub comment)
  14. It was indeed compiled from d1c6c5c, but on May 21 (manually edited 'version.py'). Today, I just uploaded version 2023.05.23, built from a19855f, to avoid any further confusion. (with an extra fix for Redtube (NSFW) included (PR #29318)) [debug] System config: [] [debug] User config: [] [debug] Custom config: [] [debug] Command-line args: ['-v', '--ignore-config'] [debug] Encodings: locale cp1252, fs mbcs, out cp1252, pref cp1252 [debug] youtube-dl version 2023.05.23 (single file build) [debug] Lazy loading extractors enabled [debug] Python 3.4.4 (CPython x86 32bit) - Windows-XP-5.1.2600-SP3 - OpenSSL 1.0.2d 9 Jul 2015 [debug] exe versions: ffmpeg N-110472-g4006c71-Reino, ffprobe N-110472-g4006c71-Reino [debug] Proxy map: {} Usage: youtube-dl [OPTIONS] URL [URL...] youtube-dl: error: You must provide at least one URL. Type youtube-dl --help to see a list of all options. PS You don't have FFmpeg installed? [debug] exe versions: none
  15. Does that also mean you will stop providing FFmpeg builds for XP? On the other hand, if that PC is powerful enough, you can run XP in a virtual machine.
  16. Yt-dlp (stable, from 2023.03.04...) is in .\Lib\site-packages\yt_dlp. Open CMD in that directory and run: python __main__.py "URL" (Python directory must be in your PATH) But there have already been many changes since that last release.
  17. See: https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp#related-scripts I know, but I put the link here anyway for others to test. Indeed. I'm amazed he still manages to cope with the hundreds of duplicate issues.
  18. What makes you think that? There are still occasional commits and building from source still works. As far as I now, there are no signs of that yet. Though some issues have to be addressed in regard to GitHub building of new releases.
  19. For my current build, made with Python 3.8, that will be 14 Oct 2024 (if Pukkandan decides to pull the plug on that same date). Fortunately @cmalex has provided a Python 3.9 build for XP (see this post). Supported till 05 Oct 2025. https://endoflife.date/python Hopefully later builds will be provided in the future. In the near future I will provide yt-dlp builds made with Py3.9 (here is a test build).
  20. I'm so sorry. Fixed now. The youtube-dl link now points to the "Lazy Extractors" build.
  21. Just FYI; FFmpeg for Windows XP (from @Reino) has been updated to version 6.1. ffmpeg-6.1-588-4006c71-win32-static-xpmod-sse.7z
  22. Unfortunately uBlock Origin 1.46.0 is the last compatible version (MyPal 68.13.0b).
  23. Yes, it is now 2023 and it's very unlikely that Windows XP will ever get any updates that may rely on contents in that folder. So I deleted the entire contents (1.6GB), after having made a backup with 7Zip.
  24. It was eMatrix. Had to turn it off in 'about:addons' for VirusTotal upload to work (albeit with very choppy scrolling ). Offtopic: cmalex managed to make a Python 3.9 build for Windows XP at your request. Yt-dlp builds fine with it on XP and it also works on Vista. I'll wait for a while to release it.
