  1. AGREED! I don't even own a phone! NONE! No land line, no cell phone, NOTHING! A very stress-free lifestyle! In the news a week or so ago, Facebook was under fire for internal office memos being discovered where Facebook is AWARE but DOES NOT CARE that their Instagram app is the direct cause of 1 in 3 teenage girls having MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES directly tied to them spending all their time on Instagram. My only comment at the time this "news" broke - NO DUH! But not only does Facebook (owner of Instagram) NOT CARE, but NEITHER DO PARENTS. Because they FALSELY think their child's SAFETY is all tied to them having access to a PHONE. BULLCRAP! 1 in 3 teenage girls with MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES all on account of SOCIAL MEDIA. But you think this is ONLY teenage girls? Look around at the ADULTS you see "tied to their phone" - you can't tell me you don't see glimpses of MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES among those ADULTS also. Don't get me wrong, I'm not undermining the importance of taking care of folks with mental health issues - quite the opposite in fact!
  2. Updated links for my v11 and v12 rebuilds. Might be another day or so before I can update my v13 (I haven't visited it in a while and unsure of how many fixes/tweaks it is behind relative to v11 and v12). These fix a Google "feature" present since Chrome v69 where a Google cookie is stored in 'local storage' and does not clear on exit despite the user's preference to clear cache and cookies on exit (so no real effect for those that keep cookies from session to session). It also disables a few depracated embedded APIs (that were disabled in early v13 rebuilds but not 100% positive if they remained disabled in later v13 rebuilds after I merged my rebuild notes with some Humming Owl tweaks). A quick note - an easy way to UPGRADE and KEEP your current profile (needs performed when 360Chrome is closed) -- navigate to your CURRENT Chrome\Application directory (contains two folders and two files), DELETE the two folders and two files, COPY the two folders and two files from the below .zip into that Chrome\Application directory. When UPGRADING, you keep your existing 360Loader.ini, 360Loader.exe, and Chrome\User Data folder untouched. https://www.dropbox.com/s/v45xr0pj9g4ka7a/360ChromePortable_11.0.2031_rebuild_2.zip https://www.dropbox.com/s/aozhovtrevt4dii/360ChromePortable_12.0.1247_rebuild_6.zip
  3. That popup blocker seems to cause heartache after heartache, isn't there anything better that still fits your needs? We all have different preferences, I truly understand that, I haven't seen a "popup" in over twenty years (I disable javascript and only allow it on a whitelist basis) so I don't use any popup-blocker extensions.
  4. @msfntor Keyword there is "Possible" attempt. That's not the same thing as saying "An" attempt. Personally, I'd try three or four different browsers or three or four different "canvas blockers" and see if they all agree with each other. If they do not, then it's a FALSE POSITIVE.
  5. Will try the suggestions discussed in that link over the weekend or so. Found a Google "feature" that has been present since Chrome 69 buried in 360Chrome v11, v12, and v13 that I have fixed in v12 and need to port the fixes and a few cosmetic changes since last upload all to v11 and v13. Once I upload newest v11, v12, and v13 rebuilds, I can then focus a little more on XP x86 SP2. I admit that I am quite interested in comparing my own builds to Humming Owl's builds in XP x86 SP2 - I'm not trying to "compete", just always trying to "improve".
  6. I'm getting 2160p YouTube videos without faking my User Agent in v12. So maybe that was only a v11 issue on YouTube, I don't recall offhand.
  7. Good deal. I'm going to remove the fake User Agent for my next rebuilds. People that do need them for specific needs generally know how to fake them.
  8. That is a side effect to faking a User Agent. Open the 360Loader.ini file and remove the --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/93.0.4577.82 Safari/537.36" (include the space before the first dash) at the end of the Parameters line. Save the file then close and restart 360Chrome. But now your YouTube will max out at 1080p max resolution so you have to decide which is more important to you.
  9. I have observed this also. But I also haven't been able to PROVE that the checkbox actually DOES anything. We have broken all IP Addresses and Telemetry that we have been able to find so the "checkbox" might say "enabled" but if you watch your DNS and TCP traffic and also your cache and cookies, it's not actually DOING anything.
  10. Fixed! Will have updates out this evening or early tomorrow morning.
  11. Already verfified that. I've tried XP x86 SP2 with default IE6 -- 360Chrome will not connect. I've tried XP x86 SP2 with IE8 updates -- 360Chrome will not connect.
  12. Wasn't Cloud Print, still digging. But will keep Cloud Print disabled in future builds.
  13. Likely culprit seems to be the Cloud Print "feature". Disabling and will report back after some testing.
  14. Quoting myself to bring this back to the "top" of the thread. Testing these changes in v12 and their effect on an unwanted www.google.com cookie that does not auto-delete in my previous versions nor in Humming Owl's v13 (did not test other Humming Owl versions but I suspect they suffer this same feat).
  15. Even trying to load http://antutu.com/html5/ throws an "Establishing secure connection..." in the status bar and times out without connecting. I didn't install IE8 - will do that next.
  16. I'm 99% certain I know where this cookie issue is coming from. I just need to track it down and do some testing. I look to have updates posted in the next few days.
  17. All of my versions have this www.google.com cookie show up and it does not clear if you set to clear cache/cookies on exit. I've only tested @Humming Owl's v13 and it also has this www.google.com cookie show up and not clear. @Dixel's v13 is the only version where this cookie will clear on exit like it is supposed to. Still digging...
  18. Ok, no clue what is going on Installed XP x86 SP2 direct from CD and without any nLite customizations and I cannot get 360Chrome to connect GreenBrowser and Mypal both connect without me needing to do anything special -- what am I missing in order to get 360Chrome to get past "Establishing secure connection..." in the status bar ???
  19. Extremely easy to block this Chrome-based "feature". Add * www.google.com cookie block as a uMatrix rule. You can still log into all Google apps just log in from the app page itself instead of www.google.com. Disregard. Cookie still shows up and doesn't clear despite settings to clear on exit.
  20. Interesting, been around since Chrome 69 -- https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/google/chrome-69-keeps-googles-cookies-after-you-clear-browser-data/
  21. Reinstalling XP x86 SP2 without nLite'ing it first (a must but I can delay that portion for now). I know how to nLiite SP3 and "tweak the crap out of it" but maybe I need to start all over again with x86 SP2. For example, I don't even install the DNS Client in SP3, among countless other removals - but now I cannot rule any of those tweaks/removals out as to why I cannot get 360Chrome to even CONNECT in XP x86 SP2 (GreenBrowser and Mypal connect just fine). Not really sure if this little "venture" is even worth it, to be honest, but it's not like the old Compaq Presario was doing anything anyway.
  22. How the <bleep> do you get 360Chrome to CONNECT in XP x86 SP2 ???!!!??? It shows "Establishing secure connection..." in the status bar and never gets any further than that.
  23. For users of my most-recent builds (particularly those that clear their cache and cookies on exit), please keep an eye on your locally stored cookies -- chrome://settings/cookies Please let me know if you are seeing a Google cookie that does not clear on exit. I have not watched this behavior in the past so am unsure if this is a new behavior or something I just did not notice in the past. I use Google Voice and Google Sheets so I am unsure if the cookie I am seeing is due to those web sites or not. Just curious at this stage...
  24. Cool! XP in React -- Haven't seen Winamp in years. 93 -- Star Wars avi - hilarious!
  25. I have stumbled into too many web pages that do not work using v11 so v12 remains my default-go-to-browser. But I really do love how fast the GUI loads for v11.
