  1. Even though I agree with you on this, I also understand why MSFN doesn't have such an option.
  2. Actually, the reason I requested closure of this topic is not only because trigliu said: "I'll consider this matter closed.", but because also this topic drove away from what it was originally supposed to be, and that's what disappointed me very much. The OP simply asked for latest backported versions of MPC-HC and WinRAR for XP, he didn't want alternatives to both programs (and he didn't even want to switch to alternatives, as he already mentioned he wants to continue using these programs, WinRAR especially, he didn't want to use Uni Extract 2 instead either)
  3. @Dave-H please, kindly lock this topic.
  4. Lol, that was very quick Anyway, 1 thing I am very curious about is: why this topic is created in "Software Hangout" forum, while the other topic is created in the "Windows XP" forum? "Software Hangout" forum is used for discussing software problems.
  5. He wrote it on his other topic at the Windows XP forum:
  6. The WinRAR author dropped support for Windows XP since version 6.10, so I don't think the author will be able to help the OP. https://www.win-rar.com/whatsnew.html?&L=0 That's why the OP created this topic, wanting to find newer versions of MPC-HC and WinRAR than their last XP-compatible versions (MPC-HC 1.7.13 and WinRAR 6.02, respectively) for XP.
  7. No, it's not you. @feodor2 actually removed the links. See: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/releases/tag/68.13.6b
  8. I mean, it is the only project that goes by its short OCAPI. There's also OCA, but OCAPI is the most used short.
  9. Yes, but here in this topic, I talk about how stable and usable Supermium is in XP with One Core API installed.
  10. Yes, I am sure, and it has been like that for several versions.
  11. One Core API 3.0.3 solved the file downloading issue as well! As an example, I was able to download 7-Zip's installer without any problems:
  12. OK, so he fixed the dialog buttons. Very great to know! This is incorrect, it's still not fixed. If you read carefully what @NojusK said, he said: Note the bolded text: which means the "Windows 2000 Power Pack" folder got created after he installed the revised v3.1k in top of the old v3.1k, not after he installed revised v3.1k without having the old v3.1k already installed. In fact, the "Windows 2000 Power Pack" folder still doesn't get created on a clean installation of the extended kernel.
  13. No, it's not. The last XP-compatible QuickTime version is 7.7.6.
  14. He didn't say he fixed the dialog box buttons bug.
  15. Fixed.
  16. I already reported it before: But no response yet.
  17. Unfortunately not. It is 32-bit. I knew this when I ran DreamMail Pro under a Windows 7 x64 VM, and it said *32 next to DreamMail.exe in Task Manager.
  18. Yes, that's the exact reason I like it. Anyway, thank you for it, it really gave me a good laugh.
  19. I am not into them, actually.
  20. Why would you name it after a president of a country where X is completely banned there? But yeah, I like that name to be honest, after thinking about it for a bit.
  21. Same also with Serpent 55, though the website loads more properly in Serpent 52 than in Serpent 55 with these SSUAOs created.
  22. Ah, so like I expected. Thanks for the information!
  23. @seven4ever Are you sad that the "Your search resulted in over 1000 matching updates. Only the first 1000 are returned. To narrow your search, try adding additional keywords to your search terms." message appeared? If so, that's not a bug, and it's not something 360Chrome has control over. It's how Microsoft Update Catalog website is designed. Edit: Disregard.
  24. It wasn't exactly a tip, more like he confirmed that the same slowness happens when he uses X (Twitter) and Outlook (Hotmail) under Serpent 52. Unless if you meant that part where DanR20 said: "Interestingly, firefox 52esr does not have this problem so it's likely a code update in pale moon/uxp.", then I agree.
  25. You're welcome. Glad to help you! Yes, it is.
