  1. yesterday I thought you had already tried them all out.... LOL what if you first check and share later prior to posting browser links that have been deprecated because of safety reasons ? false assumptions once again... I would rather recommend a good uninstaller/ cleaner
  2. LOL.... Yes but No you have barely tested a handful of browsers that are listed on that qq site
  3. it's been repacked by someone else and if you are good enough on browser analyltics you can check it out by yourself whether they are spying on you. do you really think Google and Mozilla are ladies of charity ? https://www.ghacks.net/2020/02/19/why-is-firefox-establishing-connections-to-detectportal-firefox-com-on-start/
  4. @Mathwiz Firefox 52 runs smoother with W10 user agent.... but Serpent 52 rejects this xpi file trasplant https://addons.mozilla.org/es/firefox/addon/user-agent-string-switcher/
  5. Firefox browsers have never been optimized enough for XP. with Chrome I can go beyond RAM + pagefile (virtual memory) limit with no issues @daniel_k while on Firefox if you open-close too many tabs it might crash at any time. just in china there are almost 300 web browsers and most of them are based on chrome @roytam1 although roughly 4 browsers do meet our requirements = up to date, compatible with XP 32, full UI in english, two out of them are well known here Maxthon and 360chrome ''chupacabra'' may want to give the two other browsers a try (based on chrome 75) @ED_Sln
  6. it looks like the outdated chrome 49 I don't think to many people are still using it.

  8. we are talking about ADB plus right ? if you have never experienced that it's because you only visit a few internet sites everybody else in this forum knows that in some sites you are bound to disable adblock while other sites just show a warning message and let you click the ''accept'' button to conitue using it with adblock enabled.
  9. not all sites will allow you to do that. most times you get stuck until you disable ADB and refresh the page (F5)
  10. ''Performance-wise, XP is also not that good anymore. Windows Vista and especially 7 make much better use of multicore CPUs, and large amounts of memory.'' https://scalibq.wordpress.com/2012/04/17/windows-xp-the-gold-standard-of-windows-oses/
  11. I use the ublock origin to be more specific. I have recently downloaded the latest version from github but I don't know why it gets automatically upgraded to 1.17.4 version I askem him @VistaLover what's going on but did not get any response unfortunately. anyway with ublock either enabled or disabled the Washington Post issue has not gone of course it's not better whatsoever. @Dave-H ADB PLus is easily trackable and many sites do tell you do switch it off whereas uBlock origin is almost undetectable in the same sites.
  12. Why do we get this message without browsing in private window ?

  15. I suffer from this slowness with Yahoo mail since January 2019.... I have even tested it under 360 EE or Maxthon but the problem persists. However google Gmail is pretty fast and smooth with any browser.
  16. most common excuse from software developers is it's an outdated OS... XP is actually only 8 months older than W7 millions of XP users switched to a more recent OS because they knew nothing about web browser alternatives @roytam1
  17. @dapgo hot release https://github.com/Feodor2/Centaury/releases
  18. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/52.9.0/releasenotes/ June 2018 = 10,12% January 2020 = 8,22% June 2021 = 6,x% January 2023 = 4,x% June 2024 = 2,x% too late for crying... if you are not the market leader and drop support fox XP this is what might happen. (Moonchild staff is also responsible for this) if Safari ever give up and switch over to chrome .... only the UE can prevent this google monopoly https://www.techspot.com/news/83575-mozilla-lays-off-70-employees-revenue-declines.html
