  1. Please, can anyone tell me exactly which version of oleaut32.dll should be currently installed? I have version 5.1.2600.7494 in both the System 32 and Dll cache and version 5.1.2600.5512 in my service pak folder
  2. I've not received a single notification on this thread......
  3. Dave-H, I just want you to know that you are not the only person with this issue....this has popped up on my system following the last round of updates. I have been following this thread to see what adjustments I should make to correct it. The suggestion just made by @mixit sounds like a good option to try and I have just turned off update certificates. Hopefully that will rectifiy the problem since I am using @heinoganda 's certificate updater v 1.3.........
  4. I have had issues with the version 100 so dropped back to 90 and am still running it. You mentioned in that forum thread that you didn't have access to the Malwarebytes anti exploit because the icon was not appearing in the taskbar. I have periodic occasions where that occurs here, but I can also access anti exploit from the start menu..... When I updated to version 100, I experienced problems printing from Microsoft Word. I would have to disable the anti exploit before printing and it became a hassle so I dropped back to version 90 which functions properly. I'll just hand around until they get the bugs worked out!!
  5. Once again, BERSAGLIO, thank you for taking the time to post these updates for us.....very convenient and much quicker to get the job done. I appreciate it!!!
  6. I have used Kaspersky antivirus for the past 5 years and they still support Windows XP. Very satisfied with it's performance
  7. Just adding that I too have modified security.tls.version.max to 4 and have positive results using Firefox ESR 52.9.0
  8. I must ask.......when you installed Malwarebytes Home (Free) version 2.2.1.1043, you were given an option during the install process to accept the "trial version" of Malwarebytes. If you have selected this option, you are no longer scanning manually. This version of Malwarebytes loads into memory and functions similiar to an anti virus program. This is not longer the "free home" option which only allows for manual scanning of your computer. Basically, the (free) version is a stripped down basic program that does not incorporate all the functions of the full Malwarebytes program. You must be careful during the installation as Malwarebytes has now moved their marketing from a free program to a full paid version with all the bells and whistles.....This is why Version 2.2.1043 is the last version that gives you the option to remain on the (free) side.
  9. I am curious as to what version of Malwarebytes you are using and how you are using it? I am running Windows XP home SP3 with the POS hack (all updates installed) and also run Malwarebytes Anti Exploit version 1.12.1.90 and Malwarebytes Home (Free) addition version 2.2.1.1043. Malwarebytes Home (Free) is only run as a manual scan of the system to check for malware. It is not loaded into memory on bootup. As "Dave" mentioned, you should not be running two anti virus (Malware) programs loaded into memory at once. I suspect this is what you are doing. If you want to continue scanning your system manually from time to time, download and install Malwarebytes Home (Free) version 2.2.1.1043 and scan your system manually for added assurance. If you cannot find that version, please PM me and I will send you the installation package? This version continues to update with the current malware DAT files
  10. I have to step forward and say that I, unlike many here on the forum, have not experienced any problems with either of the updates KB4134651 or KB 413651-V2 on my Windows XP home SP3 system.....???? Is there a possibility of a configuration clash with those experiencing problems with (Oleaut32.dll)? I also run Malwarebytes and Mawarebytes anti exploit (currently version 1.12.1.90) and have experienced no issues following the updates..........????????
  11. Just for verification ........ I just went to paypal and logged into my account with no problems. Additionally, each morning I check my credit card accounts and banking acounts online with no problems. I am on Windows XP sp3 and using Firefox ESR 52.8.1 I suspect you have a configuration issue on your machine that is creating this problem!!
  12. Firefox has updated to ESR version 52.8.1 as of June 6, 2018 for those who have not performed the update. Security fixes in the release notes!
  13. Quick reminder....new Adobe Flash updates posted. Update to version 30.0.0.113 https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
  14. Whew......!!!! Thought I lost you all forever......I see we have regressed to February, but that is better than nothing. Hope all goes well forward?
  15. I have two desktop computers and one laptop all Running XP SP3. For the past 4 or 5 years, I have been running Kaspersky Anti Virus (Not the full suite of software) on all three. Kaspersky provides a license for up to 3 machines. I have not experienced any malware or other harmful activity on any of my machines. Kaspersky does fully support Windows XP SP3 and the only downside I ever experience is a slower bootup while loading the various processes. I also have installed malwarebytes (free) which I use to scan weekly and malwarebytes anti exploit (stand alone).
  16. Thank you for this information....Just yesterday I finally confirmed after hours and hours of going through the process of elimination, the problem. I have MBAE version 41 installed (following the automatic update) and just this week, firefox, IE8, slimjet and outlook express have all either failed to start or stopped after loading. I went back to previous images of my drive and still encountered the problem and was starting to think there may be a hardware issue that developed. Finally, upon disabling MBAE, everything settled down and started functioning properly. I now know to drop back to the previous version, which I have saved, until this issue is addressed by malwarebytes organization.
  17. Exactly what I received.......I manually downloaded the updates from the catalog today and ran microsoft update to make sure I hadn't missed anything.......picked up the .net framework rollups through microsoft update. Everything running perfect here. I was a bit surprised at the number of updates, having received only a couple last month.
  18. I Installed IE8 Cumulative security update for POSReady 2009 (KB4036586)http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=internet+explorer+8+windows+xp Update for POSReady 2009 (KB4039111) Security Update For POSReady 2009 (KB4039384) The info.exe security update for POSReady 2009 from Aug 28, 2017 (KB4025398) http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=posready 2009 Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB4011063) Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB3213649) Security Update for Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack Service Pack 3 (KB3213644) Security Update for Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack Service Pack 3 (KB4011064) https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/search/downloadsdrillinresults.aspx?q=2007&FORM=DLC&ftapplicableproducts=^office&sortby=-availabledate&first=9 Plus the Adobe Flash player updates for Firefox and IE8 Everything is running smoothly for me..........................
  19. I had a similiar experience moving to 52.2 ESR from 52.0.2 (32 bit). Along with the very slow browsing, I also noticed parts of the web page were not loading. The whole experience was very degraded. I have since moved back to 52.0.2 (32 bit) and my browsing experience has corrected. The only extensions I have loading are Kaspersky Protection and the follwoing plug ins: Open H264Codec, Adobe Shockwave Flash and Primetime Decryption Module which I installed to play MP4. I felt as though the 52.2 ESR version wasn't designed for browsing cpu intensive sites such as Facebook.
  20. When I went to microsoft update using IE8, I could not get to the update page. I tried the workaround provided by Bersaglio, but that failed as well......I would suggest you refer to the direct download links kindly provided by Bersaglio a few days ago and manually download and install the updates. At least you will have the updates and then you can continue seeking a solution to your automatic update problem such as I have.....
  21. Thank you for the direct links to these updates. I fought with my machine and it never wanted to go to the update site to grab these. I appreciate you posting these.......
  22. I'm sorry to hear you are still having problems. If you are sure that all Nvidia software has been removed from your system prior to installing the 307.83 driver (did you check device manager for verification?) then it is quite possible there is corruption in your registry or, possible a corrupt driver download. You may try re downloading the driver just to be sure. I did double check the Nvidia site and the 307.83 driver does support GeForce 6200 cards on Windows XP 32 bit systems. Be absolutely sure you have downloaded the correct driver as the site lists several downloads for the 307.83 driver for various systems.
  23. 307.83 is the last supported version of the Nvidia driver for windows XP. That is what I am running on my Windows XP SP3 home edition. NVIDIA always stated to first "uninstall any previous" video driver. Then, reboot and install the NVIDIA driver and reboot. Is this the procedure you are following? Make sure you do a clean uninstall of the previously installed video driver before installing the 307.83 driver. Finally, if you are trying to run this driver on windows 98SE, it does not support that operating system!!! Hope you have some success with that procedure.
