For some reason I cannot find new builds on my laptop (still running 10049)

well I like the transparency of Aero but not the blur, it was always that way, so I hope we can keep the blur as an option.

well the nag screen is annoying true, but the watermark is only shown on the deskop, so not really a problem, and with Aero on W10 well it's just there marginally like on the taskbar or startmenu. I personally think the startmenu of w10 is still a decline compared to w7 or startisback/classic shell etc.

is there a way to unblur the blurry areas?

Check the guide in the glass8.eu site there was it. It's one of the many keys that don't exist by default.

You did set loadappinitdlls to 1 and the other one with the signed app init dlls to 0? Also you can put both in there I did as well, and space is the delimiter.

Well you'll need 4 things in total. 1 a working aero glass, obvious enough. 2 the modernframe dll in the same folder also pretty obvious. 3 secure boot off 4 modernframe dll in the appinitDLLs.

okay, since it was written "you will not use Aero Glass utility for business purposes" I just thought why that. so in short we may USE it in a business but the money transfer proccess (aka donation) occurs plainly as a natural.

okay now it makes sense, I used W7 for a long time b4 going to w8 so I never knew there was a difference, metaphorically speaking with the UAC you have a locked door leading to the admin rights with the yes button being the "key" for that door. in Win7 when you say leave me alone, it's going to open that door letting anything through, while in win8 the door will "just" be unlocked, meaning you will still have to push the handle (aka request admin rights) is that right? I really think I wanna read that book...

is there a difference between having the bar down and it "completely off"?

well the only advantage is probably apps in windows, but in Win8 we have modernmix for that. 5$ well spent... but imo win10 is even worse than win8 and I certainly did never think I'd ever say this but if this continues, I purachase a win8 for my PC (now on W7) and keep my Laptop on win8 as well

to get rid of the watermark you have to generate a key file and paste that into the aeroglass folder as usual, I think. was awhile since I booted my w10

I had known about the associations since XP times, maybe even ealier, any I always wondered "why do devs call their file .key if it has nothiing to do in the registry?".

well my file is donation.key and it has the reg icon and so on. maybe you removed the association between key files and regedit, coz in a standard windows key files are accociated with regedit and extensions are hidden. @Altanis, please go into view -> show/hide -> File name extensions and show them to us. maybe it is called donation .key or alike
