  1. but putting your nice bypas aside, you have an Idea why hald the system doesnt load with custom theme enabled in W10?
  2. I thought it was MS Office on drugs, in other words, office 2013 (flat4never)
  3. can you maybe add an option for Win7/8 to make the favorites alignment similar to Vista where it was pinned on top and always accessible?
  4. and why that? I dont think everyone gets a custom tailored build for themselves...
  5. with looks even better, but I have a way better Idea, I'll try to inject the Office 2010 style ribbons from Win8 CP into W10, similar to what I did with my W8...
  6. just keep it somewhere where you can execute it quickly, coz you dont have explorer or similar to help you finding it.
  7. you probably mean a script to change to default -> restart explorer (we dont need to reboot the whole system) and change back well at least in autostart impossible and if you have luck you can execute it with win+R manually, if there's a way to write it.
  8. @daveo76 same theme as I use. it isnt rly 9926 ready yet but it's mostly 10-compatible. that's for sure. in case you have booted and dont wanna reboot again, just right click anywhere -> personalization and so on for the default theme. Strg+Shift+Esc for the Task Manager and then select explorer and click restart (in case you pressed the delete button, it just gets killed, file -> new task -> explorer will start it again)
  9. @BM (referring to opening post) when clicking the link in your post I get a 403
  10. in my case it's named UxThemeSignatureBypass64.dll and I got it from the DOwnload section of glass8.eu the only problem I have is that when I boot WIn10 with a custom theme enabled I have to switch back and restart explorer for anything to work
  11. UxStyle? certainly not, it bugged my Win10 rather often rather use BM's DLL and put that in AppInit_DLLs (seperate with space or comma so no spaces in path)
  12. Fun fact Win 10 had a Windows Update update while ago so we had a Windows Update Update to prepare for a WIndows Update now which then prepares for a Windows Update later... THAT's software bureaucracy...
  13. @ralcool why not do it the old fashioned way? @noelc I found out that when you go too smal it will change to phone layout similar to win8 with modernmix and I must say that the apps (at least the settings) work out perfectly this way...
  14. win10 shouldnt be on a crit anyway, in case sth fails I just reboot into win8
  15. well it is a basic part of making win8 thwe fun it it along with some nice win7 theme, glass by BM and many other mods I cant remember instantly...
  16. why do we have scrollbars? In Win8 I use modernmix to do what win10 does (put apps in windows) and i can make the PC settings smaller without a problem, just some nice scroll bars...
  17. well I'll compare the bar heights later (I use a whole different theme) but one thing we seriously need is to kill off the min height of Apps, I mean II can slim them down like hell, but they are always taking almost the fuull height of my screen (1600x900) -> annoying
  18. probably dhjohns didnt run in this problem as well (old PC or VM) and therefor he forgot to state this in his mini-tut, I remembered this from the theme patch, as well as the signed AppInit thing, so I stated it, I usually remember problems I run into more often
  19. no problem, but I dont think you can turn off secure boot in a script installer (lol) I assume you need it since the theme SIg override also needed it off... also require Signed AppinitDLls or whatever should also be off or it probably wont work as well, have to try that when I have time, especially secure Boot since you cant really use that on VMs...
  20. could you give us a shot of the same place in the HKCU? espeically since the currentuser reg is supposed to fix in the HKCU and the HKLM gets overridden by the HKCU.
