for ram i have 2x2GB muskin and i love it, it may be hard to find tho. for case, Lian-Li's are expensive, i got a nice deal on mine. for heatsink, Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme for motherboard, get an x38 or x48 chipset for video card, EVGA 8800gt
zxian, earlier you said: i need it mainly for mysql databases and some of the databases will have tens of thousands of entires, could be in the 100,000's it will definatly be better than a shared server with hundreds of other people on it! and i may be able to have the server paid by a group. btw, here is one review i could find on the cpus: http://www.legionhardware.com/document.php?id=663 i just think i'm going to go with the celeron and save some money. if i need anything faster in the future then i will upgrade.
eh, i guess i will help since my first time asking i was similar to you. sorry about before. for psu i recommend the corsair HX520 or HX620 what else do u need?
well he said he wanted "Top of the range, for everything" and know i am thinking the same way that you are jeremy "be careful". i just dont beleive that he could safely build a computer.
okay am just going to be honest with you, you are not ready to build a computer. asking what brand that cpu is? there are only 2 brands out there and your motherboard only supports one brand. please do some reasearching before asking questions like those, google is your #1 resource. you may encounter many problems throughout your build if you refuse to you google.
DO NOT BUY SATURDAY. you are rushing things, do your research first. we need to know a budget, then we will know to suggest you a 300$ cpu or a 50$ cpu...
Torque is used to accelerate dude . EDIT: Check out this link. lol, that's exactly what i was screaming out in my head when i read the title of the post.
well that's what they told me, they first told me it as an athlon64 3000 and i asked what core it was, they said windsor.. they do have some X2's also that is prolly where they got that from.. the amd is $5 more per month. im going to be getting a cheap dedicated server. do any of you have some good recommendations on hosts?
i cant find any info on how these two cpus compare. i would have to guess that the celeron is a faster cpu but i have no proof of that. the cpu will be used in a webserver, primarily for php+mysql work. so if one is better at that type of thing then let me know.
any models you are looking at? it is impossible to rate the whole line of motherboard from one company, especially when comparing just a single chipset.. also, could you keep all of this in your other post? no point in having 10 different threads about the same build.
good that you decided to build your own! oem comps do last less of a time mainly due to very poor cooling. many of them only have 1 fan which is not enough at all. im trying to google a guide for you.. http://www.pcmech.com/byopc/
RIT is actually low on my list. i'm definatly going to get into there, the question is how much money will they give me. i've been on the RIT and UoR campus plenty of times and know both quite well because of the many track meets i have had at both locations. RIT has some nice facilities, new field house a couple years ago.
yes. depending on the company you buy the domain name through, you may be able to change where the domain name points to for free for an unlimited amount of times. what you absolutely want tho is domain cloaking/masking. for ex, without that if you typed in your domain name, it would point to compman.freehost.com and then the url will be compman.freehost.com with cloaking you will point to it and ur domain name will stay there, not showing the real domain name of compman.freehost.com
yate loons ftw! now imagine this, you have the high speed, imagine how quiet the medium/low would be good idea with the fan filters too, i just opened my case the other day for the first time in a couple months and realized how dirty it was! i have a side fan with no filter!
i'm going to be applying to colleges this week and am looking for some more suggestions on school that i should apply to. i'm looking to go into Computer/Electrical Engineering. something in/near NY state. in no specific order: Clarkson University Northeastern University Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Rochester Institute of Technology University of Rochester Worcester Polytechnic Institute Villanova University Boston University if any of you have opinions on any of these colleges are and other ones not on the list, then please let me know. thanks!
im trying to find out where i can set the amount of time that i want to be able to rewind live tv. by defualt is seems to be set at about 30min and i would like to make it much longer. i have plenty of hard drive space so that is not an issue.
