so i want to insatll ipx, now i know there are alot of posts on this but my problem is that when i try to install anything thru network connections, it give me the error "could not add the requested component. the error is: operation not allowed in wow64" this happens when i try to install a client, service, or protocol so does anyone know a manual way to install ipx? or is there an installer program i need but that is missing?

drivers are not much of an issue for x64. almost all hardware is supported unless its very old. my digital camera is automatically supported -
wow, that is just crazy. Nuhi, you better come out with an nlite for vista or else! .... xp is under a gig for me, i just dont get it. so much crap added in.

dont pay attention to the popup, just leave it alone. go into device manager and manually install the driver for teh "Multimedia audio controller".

why will it degrade performance if its on a parition?

well with that much ram u dont need more than a 1gig pagefile. i have 2gigs of ram and my pagefile is set to 800mb on a separate partition.

well u can enable mac address filtering and turn encryption on, that way its pretty much impossible to hack into
