the new amd AM2 socket has a bunch of new features. one of them which i have seen some people talk about before. with the nforce5, you can assign both ethernet ports the same ip address. this can be used as redundancy if 1 port fails. but say that if you had 2 internet connections for some reason. you could hook both of them up and they will be combined.

ya.. thats a tuff one. i think that you could use an ethernet modem, and all u need to install is your ethernet driver... but since so mny ppl use high speed now, modem support is just limited.

if possible, try to set the 2nd mysterious monitor as the default monitor

actually. it didnt turn out to be a windows problem at all, or nlite. it happened to be litestep. i really have to figure this out, ive googled and havnt found anything at all. whenever i set litestep as the defualy shell, a bunch of files just magically get deleted. all the stuff from the control panel is gone. so i have to copy files from another computer.

his temps are in celsius! 60C is pretty much my max load. im assumming that your using the stock cooler? how long have you had this card and how long has this problem been happening? how is the airflow in your case? if its really messy then buy some cable ties and waste a few hours getting it really organized. and a third party cooler will be the best thing you could do, its just too hot.

you should all know by not that IE is crap and is the big vulnerability for a computer. thx to nuhi, nlite will allow you to take IE right out of you install, so no more IE for me and i recommend a hardware firewall such as a router. thats all i need, a software firewall is the biggest pain in the a** for me, they screw up windows so much and do so little.

i would say reinstall the game. and if there are any updates for the game then install those too. btw, what is that sony thing?

well its not like i was trying to be mean, im sorry if i was. but its just that ball mice have pretty much been obsolete for a few years now. but i personally cant stand a ball mouse, so unresponsive, slow, and clumsy.

im not talking about that game, that game sucks. you cant live in a normal house and do normal things. im just talking about taking the normal single player mode but allow be to take control of 1 person and my friend to take control of another person. b/c for any that has played the sims, you know how hard it is to keep track of a family of 4, and splitting that in half would make it much easier and much funner.

thats windows far you. i used to have the same exact problem but for other updates. now i just use ryanvm's pack with nlite every few months, im just sick of windows updates.

i just had the best f***ing idea ever. what if you could play the sims with another person over lan/internet. you and friend could both play the same house at the same time, ur 1 person and he's another person. now i know this would be hard to do considering how involved the game is and that both comps would have to be could, but i still think its a great idea. but this cant be any different than world of warcraft.

beleive me too, i tried his xpge and there was no page file. photoshop worked just fine.

get a passive heat sink, mine works very well, im ~40C idle. and for you elastics for the hdd, make sure to check them once a month, they can deteriorate over time.

i just tested out a new nlite i did, and i put back in all of the control panel stuff under network, and now im fine. i just took out too much.
