  1. I always use the shellstyle UI files and I have never had a problem with the details pane staying on the bottom so maybe it does work better this way.
  2. Here is a pro tip for you all, stop using ModernFrame.dll, it's one thing to add back trasnsparency to the explorer window frames, it's another to try forcing the modern apps to use a completly different UI.

I think you made a great start with it mate, like I said the scrolling background on NSCHost isn't a problem as it was always a solid fillcolor there anyway and 99% of themes already acomodate for that, it was only on one theme that I noticed this happening and is easily fixed, I think the improvment being able to have a transparent background image there outways the issue of the scrolling background, all the default styles with SIB work fine as far as I can see, the only issue I can see really is the fonts, if that can be remedied then your on to a winner.

Thanks for the update Tihiy, I tested it and I am having a problem with fonts being rendered on this build, they are now very blocky and bold looking, also the spacing on the places list is greatly reduced, I also noticed now with NSCHost that the background scrolls instead of staying fixed, this is only noticable if you have a textured background, not really a problem as I don't normally use ang gradients in that area but thought it was worth mentioning, aside from that I don't see any problems. Here are a few examples of before and after using the redstone SIB
  5. Happy new year Tihiy, Any chance the TrayNotify sizing can be changed so it's no longer hard coded, also would absalutly love it if the task item buttons could be theamable again
  6. Only seen it in open and save screens, don't know if it can be fixed but it has been reported before..

I will leave it up to you boss, as long as we are going forward and improving functionality and not taking away what's already awesome about SiB I will be happy

Sounds good mate, I like the idea of using just the background picture, not sure why it isn't that way already, same goes for the search menu, not sure what the reasoning was from MS to use fillcolors in those areas, it sucks that StartPanelComposited::StartPanelPriv was completely removed in 11082 as well as all the menu composited parts to go with it but it's also good in a way because now we have full control to add it back in and do what we want without the worry of it effecting something else. Adding the classes back to the msstyles only takes a few seconds using a style script and I have that running off a custom import script so it's completely automated, the only problem I have had is with DWM parts changing their part numbers but my script fixes that too and I have new custom class maps to arrange it all back as it should be. Looks like PandaX might be doing some updates to WSB to make importing to windows 10 easier and I am sure he will be adding support for SiB as well, will have to try and make sure he stays up to date with what needs to be added back for imports, I think it might be best to just try and keep using StartMenuCompositedMFU::ListView, StartMenuComposited::ListView, StartMenuKeyboardComposited::TreeView, I don't think we need to worry about JumpListPane::ListView as it was new in Windows 10 and seems to replace what we had in StartMenuPlaceListComposited::ListView

OK well I tried this new build and so far I am not finding this to be an improvement, I found adding the missing classes back to be a more complete solution, first of all I noticed that you can no longer have a hot tracking color and in more programs NSC Host you can no longer set the fill color background, instead this is set from system metrics window color, the first problem I may be able to remedy if I add states to the parts to see if that can bring back a workaround for hot tracking colors but unless I am missing something I have no idea how to set the more programs color, I would much prefer if this background behaved just like the normal programs list using the image as the background and didn't need a separate property at all.

Awesome work Tihiy, will check this out later, I have been working on importing themes to Redstone on WSB and I now have a working script to import from Windows 8 and Th2 themes, should be easy to implement this new change in the script, I will be sure to hand it out to themers when I have a working test.
  11. Uxstyle and Theme Signature Bypass for Windows 10 TH2 AKA 1511 AKA 10586 Good news I was able to find an alternative to using patched system files from the RTM build Doing it this way you can use as many styles as you like with Uxstyle or Theme Signature Bypass. 1. Rename the default C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero\aerolite.msstyles to aerolite.msstyles.bak 2. Make a new folder in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero\ called aerolite.msstyles 3. Put your theme in the aerolite.msstyles folder C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero\aerolite.msstyles\My Theme\My Theme.msstyles 4. Make sure your .theme file uses this new directory. 5. Select your theme from the personalization menu. So now you just use the aerolite.msstyles folder as the normal theme folder and you can have as many themes as you like. Note that if you do sfc/scannow or if you do a large Windows update to say Rs1 the themes will most likely be lost, so keep a backup of your themes. Not sure what that would result in, I guess it would just fall back to using the aerolite theme which could be a good thing as these large updates seem to break any older themes anyway. Important!!! Only use themes made for Windows 10 TH2 AKA 1511 AKA 10586 older themes will break your system.
  12. UxThemeSignatureBypass is not working correctly on 10586 and also you can not use any older themes on the Windows 10 Th2 10586 build, you will have to use this method to enable custom themes that uses old patched files from the RTM build http://cu88.deviantart.com/art/Install-UXThemePatcher-Windows10-10586-36-572822614 UxThemeSignatureBypass might be working on the Redstone build as I found Uxstyle is working fine again but any older themes will not work and you must not try any of them or you will brick your system.
  13. I have only tested it on Windows 10 Th2 and it works fine on that, Windows 8 doesn't use immersive context menus on the desktop only on the start screen.
  14. It's a right click menu on the metro apps tiles. Thank you! Yea, these are very important. I would be screwed without them. It's the new style immersive context menu for the desktop, the reg hack just reverts it to the normal explorer context menu, the same right click context menu you see on Windows 8.
  15. Thanks Tihiy, I have attached the reg files to make it easier, is there any way to do the same for the Taskbar? Disable Immersive Context Menu.reg Enable Immersive Context Menu.reg
  16. All working great, thanks mate, I hope you will still continue to work on this a little bit
  17. Just thought I would share a screen of a theme of mine only made possible using SiB (Start Is Back) and ONE (old New Explorer) with the recently added Taskbar skinning Also Tihiy I hope we can get the system tray button back to 3 states, also if possible can it be unrestricted with the size as it used to be, if you look at my image half the button is chopped off.
  18. Nope but I wish there was, I dislike these immersive context menus, they have no reason to exist.
  19. Small Icons should be fine mate, Vertical ones are not needed as they are covered as you already mentioned, as far as I know notify icons, clock, etc are supported, if you want me to do some private testing on my VM just let me know. Any idea if it could be possible to skin the Task Item Buttons? there is still an image there that was used during some of the early insider previews but it no longer does anything.
  20. I have a feature request for ONE, Is it possible to have the Windows 7 style caption buttons in explorer, this mostly relates to Windows 10 with the stupidly large caption buttons, not actually bothered about the style so much, just the size of the buttons, sorry if I have been asking a bit much lately, I am on the verge of using Windows 10, there are just a few things that I know only you can help me with, thanks heaps mate
  21. Yeah your right about the vertical taskbar, I did some more testing and figured it out, the small taskbar support would be good though as I do use them allot because sometimes it's not possible to use the same image for the small taskbar, not sure how easy this is for you, you seem to have no limit to the talent and possibilities with this stuff, maybe you can also add back support for the Task Item button and the system tray button states and system tray background. TrayNotifyHorizOpen::Button TrayNotifyHoriz::Button TrayNotifyHoriz::TrayNotify TrayNotifyVertOpen::Button TrayNotifyVert:Button TrayNotifyVert::TrayNotify
  22. Thanks Tihiy, that's working great as well but it seems I forgot to ask for a few extra classes, could you please add support for the following: Taskband2CompositedSmallIcons::TaskBand2 Taskband2CompositedVertical::TaskBand2 Taskband2CompositedSmallIconsVertical::TaskBand2 If you could add those it would be great, thanks mate.
  23. This is amazing mate, will test this out now, thanks for taking the time to do this for us Edit: OK this works perfect so far for the Taskbar2Composited::TaskBar but we still need Taskband2Composited::TaskBand2 for the centre image. if you can do that I would be very grateful, keep up the amazing work that you do, you truly are appreciated more then you know. Also this may be a personal choice so it would probably be a good idea to have the option to disable this feature.
  24. I would much rather have a way to disable the immersive menus and use the old style context menus, I see no reason why they had to introduce all this immersive crap that has no added functionality and half the time loads much slower, clock and volume control is an example, the old ones open so much faster when enabled on Windows 10.
