v13.5.2022. xp skin vs win 10 skin bookmark icons and text screenshots. xp skin has square bookmark icon boxes and black text on the folder. win 10 skin has rectangle bookmark icon boxes ( icons not placed in middle of the box ) and gray text on the folder. so the icons are ok just not the placing. ( visible when hovering over the icon ) 12 bookmark icons in both screenshots , compare the total width against the 2 tabs below. besides the gray text on the folder , the folder icon color is also less bright.

@ NHTPG , tested 13.5.2022 ungoogled with the win 10 skin on a friends pc with win 11. ran the 360loader directly from usb. (very slow load) the result was that while loading 360chrome the bookmark icons and the text color are fine. after a few seconds , the bookmark icons "shrank" to the left and the text turned to gray. maybe something in the skin_config.xml file. will stay with the xp skin.

hello NHTPG, nice work and i like the win 10 skin. something about the bookmark bar icons though with the win 10 skin. ( using bookmarks without text ) the icons are not square. ( missing empty pixels on the right ) this compacts the bookmarks in the bar. i can "correct" this by using only some files from the win 10 srx in the xp srx file. but that is not how it should be done. can you fix this like you did before in the 13.5 alpha releases please ? https://msfn.org/board/topic/182993-360-extreme-explorer-arcticfoxie-versions/page/10/#comment-1206059 also with the win 10 skin , the text color for folders in the bookmar bar has changed from black to grey ? same goes for bookmark icons with text.

try another useragent in the loader.ini : --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/102.0.5005.63 Safari/537.36" with this however it will not pass the ddos cloudflare protection on some sites.

https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows/issues/36 --disable-encryption and --disable-machine-id these command line switches do not work for me on 360ChromePortable_13.5.1030_rebuild_6_ungoogled. adding one or both to the 360loader.ini still results in missing passwords and cookies on 360 folder copy to another pc.

how to copy 360chrome v13 folder to another pc while retaining bookmarks , passwords , extensions , settings and cookies. supposedly only required for chrome xp engine 80 and above so should not be needed to do for v11 and v12. for this to work you need to change the following settings in explorer. tools / folder options / view : check / Display the contents of system folders. check / Show hidden files and folders. uncheck / Hide protected operating system files. download newsid 4.1 zip from here : https://newsid.softag.com/ to find the current user sid , download pstools : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/pstools run this cmd in the folder where PsGetsid.exe is : psgetsid %username% this will provide the current active user sid. another method , for if only one user account is used , on the host pc in regedit go to : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList where the number ending with 500 is the admin account. (leave that) copy the other (current user) sid (copy key name) from the host pc ending with 1003 to a text file and save the file. close regedit. run newsid 4.1 on the second pc (not the host pc) and paste the above sid from the text file in the bottom field. click start and let the pc reboot when done. (close running applications if possible before running newsid) make a full system backup first if you can. (not system restore) copy the 360chrome folder from host pc to the other one and run and close 360chrome twice from there. now delete the 360 folder. after doing so now there are two C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Protect\S-1-5-21 folders. delete all files in the new Microsoft\Protect\S-1-5-21-xxxxxx folder matching the new user sid. (should be two) copy all files from the Microsoft\Protect\S-1-5-21-xxxxxx folder not matching the new sid from the txt file to the S-1-5-21-xxxxxx folder matching the new user sid. next , copy the 1 kb files from when chrome was first run on the host pc and the newer ones to the second pc , now same name S-1-5-21-xxxxxx folder. delete the old S-1-5-21 folder on the second pc. copy the 360chrome folder again from the host pc to the other. (do not use previous copied one) start the loader and all will be there now. tested on single user winxp - sp3 pc's with 360ChromePortable_13.5.1030_rebuild_6. did not test with multiple user accounts sid's. i wanted to have a backup option for the configured 360chrome folder on another pc. also make chrome more "portable" between my 5 xp pc's. proceed at your own risk as always ...

tested some bookmarks , all work with this new css. thanks for explaining how to find these tags , hope no more are needed. very refreshing to meet someone with knowledge and who is willing to help. even for an issue probably nobody else cares about. it has been a pleasure as always. don't know what you do for a living but i hope you make good money with what you know. thanks again !

thanks ! am not used to using a horizontal scrollbar anywhere. this works for msn.com though. only on 1366 width though , on full screen the msn left top "butterfly" logo is "offscreen" still and a wide white section on the left. when widening the screen width above 1366 somewhat the page content jumps to the right at some point. the issue seems to specific to msn , have not seen this behavior before. so if there is another option in css to prevent this on all sites i would like to try. problem is i have only msn.com to test ...
