  1. Yes you only need the file in that folder.
  2. You have to install the new driver onto a "fresh-system" - no other ati divers installed before. So format your c: and install windows again. If that is too hard for you, you can try the tool "Driver Genius Professionnal"(by Mydrivers http://www.driver-soft.com/ ) to remove old reg entries in system "ControllSet", then try again.
  3. the "MR740S USB-IrDA Driver" is 100% superfluous besause windows xp sp2 has native support for that hardwareID(USB\VID_066F&PID_4200) The "VIA3058"(VIA Fast Infrared Controller) would be supported by xp sp2, but the "VIA3076"(VIA Fast Infrared Controller on some notebook mainboard?) is new to windows xp, so it is usfull.
  4. The SuperWinAIO-DVD of the site, made by Michael K.H. Au-Yeung, dose have server version. But this DVD are not available for most people in scene. However, there are several "limited/reduced"CD-/DVD-image files in p2p net... so our friend catched one of them and wanted to know the contents of it....
  5. Maybe he've got(burnd) a corrupt CD/DVD-R, witch had read errors(defect sectors) at the driver loacation... who knows...
  6. Magic ISO dose not have a extra boot manager, so it is IMPOSSIBLE with this programm to selecte a iso image file to "boot" at boot time. The confusion was cause by the fat that MagicISO ONLY load diffrent boot sectors or boot image to boot. But here "boot image"="floppy boot image" or "no-emulation boot image". They are DEFINITIVELY NOT CD/DVD ISO-Image!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. The original ati driver pack "Catalyst v5.3" and the new "Catalyst v5.5" contain following hardware id: "RADEON 9550" = ati2mtag_RV350, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4153 "RADEON 9550 Secondary" = ati2mtag_RV350, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4173 so it should be no problem for the driver pack to install/identify your graphic card... I wonder...
  8. If you want to create installation cd "only" for your special computer, you should do following: 1) install your Windows clean(cd boot, formating, etc.) 2) install all your drivers 3) make a image of your c: with symantec ghost 4) create a boot CD/DVD contain the ghost.exe and the image file of your C: .... boot into this cd and start ghost.exe, you'll get your fresh installed windows, integrated with all drivers, in ca. 2 - 5 minites, i.e much faster and easier than all other methods!
  9. change the boot timer of your AIO-DVD to 5 seconds, it would be much handy...It is also possible to change the default boot option to meet your taste.
  10. This has bee discussed many times in forum, so be sure use the search button first before post any question.
  11. No, bcdw only works for CD-Boot. Flash stick worked as a (big)floppy disk, not supported by bcdw.
  12. forget easyboot, try cd shell.
  13. WinPE cannot boot from multi iso files! As in a full featured OS you can ONLY INDIRECT access the mass storage device so a system booting is only poosible in a "Virual Mashine" such as VirtualPC/VMware. Bur a boot manager in form of boot loader can act as a bios extension to add a extra cdrom drive to existed hardware, them boot from it(the code of bios extension will stay resident). But the "guest system" will also be restricted in access to storage hardware, once the code of bios extension was overwitten by the appl. of the guest system or itself, system will crash.
  14. You do not need to unpack them because in the new driver pack all .inf files are already unpacked in the os folers! Thus, Intel want to save your time and make your life easier. So don't complain, just be happy, Baby!
  15. trying is better than waiting
  16. Wellkom to forum! No, don't care it - the uninstall option for nForce chipsets etc. are 100% superfluous. Delete it and be happy The condition is that you've commented out the reference in .inf file - thus you will lose the WHQL certification - if you dont care. The benefit of the "careless" is, you can also delete the .cat file
  17. Where do yu change the WMI-settings? After install of windows xp?
  18. If you use nLite, the only driver should be removed is the "toshiba dvd cards"(if you dont use notebook you can also remove the notebook driver e.g. thinkpad etc.) and keep all other things. Sometime in your life you could need them.,
  19. download link: http://www.sapphiretech.com/downloads/DRIV...3_VGA_W2KXP.zip have fun!
  20. No, you can leave it unchanged. Many years ago when we had to use Windows 9x, you'd better comment out that line - otherwise windows would ask you for the file. Win2k/XP do not have such problem.
  21. change to "On a HD without a valid active primary partition..." should more precise
  22. there is nothing in "data1.cab" because all driver files are in WDM\ folder.
