These I386 folders are in diff. locations (i.e. SETUP\PRO1\I386, SETUP\PRO2\I386 etc.). You must apply the slipsteaming in ALL of those folders. Important1: donot forget to edit the txtsetup.sif after the update, to ensure the value in SetupSourcePath = "the path of the root of your install files(I386\) on your AIO-CD" is correct, and then copy it into the specified boot folder. This must be done for all your boot options(in your case 3) Important2: donot forget to hexedit the setupldr.bin after the update, to ensure the value to point to the boot folder(i.g. \PRO1) is correct, and then copy it into the specified boot folder. This must be done for all your boot options(in your case 3) Important3: If all the tips above do not help, you have to rebuild your multiboot AIO cd again after the slipstream to get the correct boot files in specified boot folder

@JohnSteven: what you did is nothing diff. to that in the official guide of this forum, every one if he reads and follows the multiboot AIO-CD guide carefully, would be able to create such thing. The many $OEM$ folders do not occupy much cd space if you utilize the "optimizing" function cdimage.exe. @mediapla: I've made such multiboot cd(as you wished) sometimes ago and posted the results and some tips related to bcdw 2.0 in this forum. Please do a search (for member "htc", key words bcdw or setupldr)

The info with ramdisk I've already posted in my prev. post. To get the most recent virus definition files, you can use the technology which would be usually used in the AV-Plugins for BartPE(WinPE). Mostly use the unix-util wget.exe to download the def. files "on-the-fly".

With cd shell you can create even very complex graphic menu, but also very time intensiving because you have to construct everything yourself. With easyboot you cancreate it easily but with restricted function.

as mentioned, upgrade your os to sp2 as first step to avoid the (fatal)error message when you try to get boot files.

Well done, bravo Vitalis8! But as a IT-professionals I have still tips for you: 1. If you've changed the boot shell from bcdw to cd shell with the bcdw plugin, it is possible to do a "floppyless multi-configuration unattended multiboot setup", i.e. prepare multiple floppy image for answer file(multi-configuration) on cd optional with the mass storage driver if you F6 key press during the setup. 2. even without change your boot shell you can do multi-configuration unattended + attended setup with default provided such as product key, by putting winnt.sif(which can be as "defaul provided"), winnt.sif, winn2.sif etc. for diverse setup options.

1. update your os to sp2, 2. slipstream the setup files to sp2 3. follow the guide to re-get the boot files for sp2

We all have created the iso without any problem.

Important: the v8.05 version of partition magic has more bugs introduced rather than fixed, at least the dos verion, all the bugs are similar to the bugs in symatec ghost 8 corp. edition (dos version), but even worse! So stick to use the last powerquest release v8.02 is my advice!

Answer for your question: NO. Unfortunately there is no possibility for user to defind a variable in the registry. But it is also not allways neccessary. My solution is a tool called "unversal loader" which dose (basicly)following when you run it: 1. get the full path of the custom program to be excuted on cd or ramdisk. 2. modify the registry items reqired by the custom program and to be imported into system registry, parse the actural path into it and them import it to system. 3. copy diverse .dll/.ini/.cfg files into window system folder(if neccessary) 4. copy or extract/decompress the custom program to a ramdisk(if neccessary) 5. start the custom program with proper parameters/options. All you need for prepairing is to install the custom program, capture the changes in system and registry. The "unversal loader" in this form exists not jet, but it should be not diifficult to code.

burn the iso first on a cd-rw and install it on a spare computer, the target primary partition should be 4090-4094 MB(slightly under 4096MB) NTFS. Larger partition increase the setup duration.
