  1. mce requires far more than just wmp 10, which btw works currently. mce is under future support, due to the fact, I'd be making all MCE tools work in microwinX for that version, cause people would want it, if there using mce.
  2. yes all 32bit xps work.
  3. did you activate before changing the time?
  4. first off all of this was showed along time ago. no superpi tests but, users will have ability to do this for themselves in a couple weeks time. also same goes for above, as all these things were removed, until public release. but all valid none the less. all will be show at later dates. via the new site, that way this waste of bandwich, is mine lol.
  5. so, you've never used nod32 in non sp, with the best IE 2 years back and went to a website, and got a virus popup saying blocked such and such. now think about the fact not all virus are detected in most av products. That was the security risk that made me goto firefox. IE is a fast part of windows, without it you'd be stuck until you had firefox installed. IE core shouldn't be removed, to keep certain games and software to work correctly.
  6. @tjodrik , old last_session.ini removed. due to confusion. anyway, microwinX is about choice, and there will be many choices. also, beta 3.0 will try to bring to the table more choices with hard support. ex. printers/scanners/webcams/smart cards
  7. this was back in sp1 days. that must be why. why you havn't had it, is probbally the fact of the sites you've visited.
  8. yah, I dont get spyware using firefox. IE though, i'd get too much. this was never my fault, but rather IE's cause it just blew chunks.
  9. also in a sp1 internet explorer, just visiting a website can infect you with some nasty virus' when you dont got AV protection. and in many cases, even if you have AV protection.
  10. I cant possibly agree with this, due to the fact windows 98 users are still be exploited.
  11. hahahh jeremy, I lost no funtionality, that wasn't remove by nlite (that I could also add back later) unless it was losing a function to benifit in a much larger and better way. (like virus immunity, no firewall needed etc) but you wont get it, until you try microwinX for yourself.
  12. hmm, no under 50 MB option. thats too bad lol guess its ok, cant vote again anyway.
  13. @aegis I've felt like that a few times, being bombared with stuff in life, then being bombared with requests for your project at the same time. anyway, remember life comes first, even with all the delays with my project users support still goes strong. oh and dont rush it to public, in the end it might just send out a false image, you wern't going for. When you feel happy with it, thats normally a good time for public.
  14. ok I just saw, that cubase doesn't have a demo or trial, if you can redirect me to one, that would be great. Firepod might be easy, if I had a firewire device to test, hmmm. maybe cubase might help again lol
  15. no your not alone in that. I got the same issue. lol but I know why, (even my thread lost pages) it seems every page got a bit longer too.
  16. owww, my poor e-ears. lol, anyway cant be done, download a third party media center
  17. I have considered it, but it didn't work in beta 2.0. beta 2.5 might have a better chance, but I personally think it needs wmp. mplayer (not mpc), vlc and wmp10 currently do work.
  18. yes that is pretty much how it works.
  19. microwinX, need I say more. maybe if you use that, you'll be able to see benifits. with me, I cannot bear, the slowness, of a full version of xp, even on my computer, disabling 90% of services would be a must, and even that doesn't do anything compared to nlite.
  20. no it is not the same thing. disabling services, via services.msc , will never do what nlite does, for increasing system performance and startup speeds.
  21. just because the service isn't in services.msc doesn't mean your running no services. if anything like crss.exe or system appears in taskmanager you are still running services. and then you have drivers, probbally about 100-200 half of which that get loaded at startup or loaded when you use stuff. check it out yourself, grab serviwin
  22. hahah, now its become no services? I see 2 lol but you must do that manual after boot and also, you cant copy/paste stuff anymore without rpc and your cant restart without lsass and you cant open explorer w/o services.exe
  23. @Fridge-RaideR , microwinX has evolved further, its got a couple weeks b4 beta 2.5 , and about 1 month b4 public. I aint giving up, but rather losing sleep lol. anyway, its faster than ever, and smaller too. oh and when using wmp10 and firefox under microwinX on my current system (see below). It is so fast, that I am not sure, if I got a gigabyte iram drive, that it would be faster cause I wouldn't be able to notice it. @vci if you read this, I would really like you to be a beta 2.5 tester, figuring out what software needs what, just like you did b4 with beta 2.0. if you think your up for this and have the time let me know. @everyone same as above goes for you too. if you think you are capable of doing this, let me know, and you might make it to the beta 2.5 list.
  24. @reido113 do you mind letting me know what that other program as, so I can add support for your purposes to microwinX?
  25. sure synth, ill get that in for beta 3.0. @aegis oh now wouldn't it be great if I didn't have to keep secrecy around you
