yes, there could be, only include, \windows w/o the lastgood folder. first off, then make sure your cd is 90 ish , MB when using the included last_session.ini and microwinx.cab added to the cd.

no, for audio service, it use rpcss.dll w/o it, you dont get system audio, that service is not needed for game audio, systernals has a guide of howto do it with process explorer, if that rings any bells. anyway, just asking, cause if it dont, just letting him know what bugs will be.

yah and depending on what socket it is, heat is your issue no matter what, even with stock heatsink, but those dont often limit overclocks as much as you'd think on an intel, cause they are used to being hot, try for 3.4, I'd be amazed if it didn't do that on stock heatsink, but make sure your case has a few fans around the cpu heatsink, or atleast 2 case fans, when your power supply doesn't pull away any heat from the processor.

thanks guys I would like everyone to note the following. All software needs to be installed before running slimdown.exe by running this, your \windows directory excluding \windows\lastgood will get around the 50MB mark, depending on if, your drivers have been shrunk yet by microwinX. by running shrinkdown.exe you go into a virus immune mode, where in most cases, are .exe' , these .exe' no long are able to run without being patched. This makes it so, only software you choose, gets to run. In the case of a shared computer, mom and her daughter. The daughter will no longer be able to infect her moms computer with a virus' , because virus' just wont run. Anyway, there is also great speed increases. Just thought i'd clear that up for users. Please check out this post for what to expect this month, just from what I have thought up so far. and also check here for the updates. Anyway, hope everyone enjoys this project, I hope to bring lots more software support with beta 3.0, hardware supprt (wifi, dchp, dns) along will more security in the form of running services, drivers, and so on. you 2.8ghz p4 should do anywhere from 3.2-4.4 your ati x800pro's I heard clock very well too. you'll want to use atitool for that.

yes there is many ways. you can add lets say wmp10 to your nlite cd, with ryanvm 's wmp10 addon pack you could add all your windows updates to your cd with nlite and ryanvm. does this help?

core clocks, then put the vertex and pixel shaders on multiplers, some times a lower clock, will hit the right vertex/pixel shader unit overclock where a higher clock, will throw it on a lower multi, slowing down the vertex/ps. cant explain it any better, w/o finding my source.

yes, ram is extremly fast. the most solid state disks are used in military servers, where it just has to work immediatly.

yah I too thought that voltage was insane. I dont even belive asrock boards will allow that type of voltage. do you have other tools to confirm that its not just improperly read by the version of the program your using about?

ok since your using a ddr 400 stick, make sure its not that causing your issues, by using memtest. you can also try going up 1 knotch on the ltd/chipset volts, and changing the ltd multiplyer to 3. i've seen a sempron 2600+ 754 hit 3.0ghz with something like 1.8V, on water lol.

dfi makes high quality motherboards. they always get most of the highest overclocks on the market. anyway, even if your not overclocking, dfi boards should just last a very long time then.

be nice about what. I have never used any part of mindows, and if the mods have microwinX, they obtained it illegally. What is sad, is that this happens, like 4 days, after Aegis makes a "joke" stating he'll steal and download my project, from the person who leaked it. what, I really dont understand, is how, project not even gone "public" yet, get taken down in these forums, from what, buddy buddy with the mods? when not 1 file has ever been posted, of microwinX in these forums, or any forums , ever. now get real now, I am done with these forums, its all about who you know and not what. I wont be giving these forums my project, when its just like america, corruption everywhere, and no one sayin anything.
