Glossy Theme Update
BoardBabe replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
DigeratiPrime: I secound that, that's why I made the MCE theme -
You should still give windows some time to load, reboot/shutdown with no delay are likely to cause problems.

Glossy Theme Update
BoardBabe replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
Excellent work kelsenellenelvian! Ofcourse you may include this at your own wish in future releases I think the blue bars look great, I really like the concept... My only personal comment on this theme would be that I dont really like the orange small bar at the bottom, and I'm still having some issues trying to get used to the logo font, that were the reason I changed to plain-text header in my theme Keep up the great work developing WPI! -
The problem is quite correctly like MHz states not in the script, rather the silent install method of Nero 7. Nero 7 has yet no optimal solution to install silently, without complications like this.

Try include NeroStartSmart and I'd guess you'd get an entry in autoplay

Thank you! However I read you could really just makecab the downloaded files (CABed) and place in i386, is that true? That would be all the files in above CAB url.
-
I could need an update on how to integrate Flash 8 to i386 dir, replacing default. Latest flash8 CAB: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwa...ash/swflash.cab in my i386 I got FLASH.IN_, flash.oc_, SWFLASH.IN_. How to I go forward to update with the CAB above?

Your signature is kinda ironic, if you had read the manual you would have known its in the useroptions.js file, you need to set optional buttons to true.

For those of you who do not wish to reduce the size of the installer (/repack) I would recommend giving my AutoIT script a go, easy configurable and works on any language/version including include/exclude component options, nero configuration and registration. Also hides cab extraction window, and renames Nero inn add/remove programs. Installs using switches and NOT by sending button clicks etc. Get it here http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=20197&st=170#

I don't see why using CMDOW @ /HID would not work as normal, however I have to redirect this question to Yzöwl who designed this cmd file and without doubt is the cmd expert around The .reg file would be completly silent btw. -
BIG PROBLEM! Removed folder thingy, need folder
BoardBabe replied to saralvr247's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
You should probably try get some good recovery application and try recover your deleted files. TRY NOT TO STORE ANY NEW FILES, DELETE MORE ETC. If your files are extremly important, you should not even use your computer and hand over your hard-drive to a recovery company, they will be able to recover your files. I recently had a crucial backup disk die on me, and recovered quite a few important files using GetDataBack for NTFS, however here the filesystem was corrupted. Sounds to me that your files are deleted, but most likely not yet overwritten in the filesystem and therefore they should be recoverable... Keep in mind that most commersial recovery programs SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCES the chance of recovering important files for companies that recover manually. So if you plan on getting a company to manually recover your files I'd recommend not using any commersial recovery applications. -
[Question] Nero 7.x plugin registration.
BoardBabe replied to BoardBabe's topic in Application Installs
Mainly the include/exclude code has been redesigned as part of setting the correct installation switchline dependant of user configuration. Some systems would fail to install eg. StartSmart by setting the value to 1, wich now will work on any system. There are also added a couple more Nero configuration options, and some minor code changes. It is not important to update if the old script worked for you. -

Microsoft Update - Genuine Windows Validation Tool
BoardBabe replied to greywolf83's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
FYI that is not significant on a fresh install as that version of WGA needs some registry entries to be identified correctly It's all in previous posts. -
[Question] 'Use Windows to Configure WLAN'
BoardBabe replied to BoardBabe's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Already explained, but I'll shoot it out once more for ya. As my laptop comes with an internal WLAN NIC for 802.11abg and I'm running on a MIMO network I have MIMO PCMCIA 802.11g notebookcard to take advantage of the increased network throughput speed and range that MIMO provides. Therefore two WLAN NIC's. And ofc. there is also a gigabit lan NIC. However all problems solved now, did driver tweaking and it should all be fine now -
[Question] 'Use Windows to Configure WLAN'
BoardBabe replied to BoardBabe's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Okey excellent, I hade a feeling of that after reading through the inf file. Guess I'd have to wait for next test install to see if it works -
I'd like to know how to register the Nero 7.x plugins through registry. What keys are used for the plugins, please?

[Question] 'Use Windows to Configure WLAN'
BoardBabe replied to BoardBabe's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
RogueSpear: I have two WLAN NICS, one internal and one PCMCIA (mimo), the MIMO is installed wihtout application using .inf/.cat, the internal installs with software, however recently I just modified conifg to "USEWINDOWS". I guess since this WLAN nic were previously set to use it's own app, both NICS were defaulted to not use windows? I'm guessing both will now be automaticly set to use windows, and problem solved on next install. Djé: Thank you, however I have made my own script with a few minor improovements Good work on yours though , one question though, how early can you run your script or the Wireless network setup wizard? This should really now be in drivers section, however how do I identify the driver files needed for install through winnt.sif? Only the .inf/.cat files? I might aswell not install the app for the internal NIC as I'm not using it anyway. -
Now do a Norwegian version...
