My laptop keeps reconnecting/dropping my MIMO wlan connection, although signal is perfectly good. The "Now connected to XX" bubble keeps appearing every now and then. Signal is 100%. Linksys WRT54GX latest FW WEP128 on Belkin True MIMO Pre-N PCMCIA Windows XP Pro

I don't think the machine is responding, but as the LCD is shut off I have no way to find out

Didn't work. Also shutting down frequently causes lcd to go dark and system freez.

I have the same problem, Acer TravelMate 8600LMi, latest beta2. LCD will not power on. After eg. lid is closed.

Can it /should it be disabled?

I don't have WMP10 at add/remove programs

No, there are no errors. It just stops at abput 60% filled progress bar right after it starts "Running processes after install. It's the WMV codec I think, so its kinda essential

I am trying to manually install WMP 11 beta, however after 100% I get the following message. - Any idea how I can resolve this issue? PS. I've got WMP10 installed (integrated on UA media)

Is it possible to replace WMP 10 in i386 with WMP 11? I once did this with WMP 10 replacing WMP 9.

Found an awesome app called Notebook Hardware Conrol 1.10 beta 03. It lets me clock/read temp/set shutdown temp +++++. great monitoring/configuration app for notebooks!!!

Ok, so I've got the latest driver and just blew the heck out of it with a can of air today, so hope it works now!

May be a coinsidence, but it might seem as a new driver helped... I will get a can of air Monday and blow clean the fan also to be sure though...

Wow! Thanks, I haven't downloaded the drivers from ATI since it says I should (have to) use Acers own drivers, althoug I see the Acer driver is way outdated.... I'll try install the one you pointed me to! My laptop is about 6-8 months old. I will definately try blow out the vents like you say. Hmmm wonder where I can get a can of air for that...
